Prior to the upcoming election, Britons are showing a stiff upper blog and sharing their political opinions online.

With the May 5 elections rapidly approaching, Britons have been blogging about topics from candidates to issues.

Prime Minister Tony Blair figures prominently in the minds, and opinions, of many bloggers. Mr. Blair’s Labour party figures to be the favorite in Thursday’s election, and should win a third term easily.

A selection of these blogs shows a savvy group of people, most posting intelligently on topics of interest. While some post in a serious vein, others go the route of making fun of politicians, the election process, and other issues. hosts a number of these blogs. Whether this grass roots interest in politics grows into something more substantial will prove over time.
