Nintendo will be presenting their games for the Wii U in less than an hour. Anticipation is high and everybody wants to know what the company will be showing. One thing that people obviously want is a new Zelda game and one rumor suggests that a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask may be announced.
Now before you start jumping up and down with excitement, this is probably not real. Even the guys who broke the story, Daily Joypad, say that it’s most likely fake. The only reason this is interesting is that it looks professional. It looks like a next-gen Nintendo game with their signature style intact.
What’s more is that the Zelda team at Nintendo has commented before that they would like to remake Majora’s Mask. Remaking it for the Wii U would give the game the much needed praise it deserves. Of course, choosing Majora’s Mask is also a weird idea because it’s the most divisive Zelda title besides the equally weird, but for different reasons, The Legend of Zelda II: Link’s Adventure.
Regardless, the video is damn impressive and makes me want a Zelda game that looks this good. If Nintendo can push out visuals like this on the Wii U, count me in on launch day wanting games like this.
