Netflix released its monthly update on Internet service provider speed data, ranking the top ISPs in terms of speed for its streaming service. This reflects the month of November.
There wasn't a great deal of change here in the U.S. There were a few spots that flipped flopped in the top fifteen:
Still, the speeds of the top U.S. providers have risen over 0.5 Mbps since November 2014, Netflix says.
"There was much movement in the Japan rankings last month, with 13 out of 17 ISPs changing positions," says Netflix's Anne Marie Squeo. "The biggest mover: NIFTY, has jumped 10 spots to fifth place with an average speed of 3.81 Megabits per second (Mbps), up from 3.39 Mbps last month."
"In Spain, which joined the index this month, Telecable took the top spot delivering an average monthly speed of 4.15 Mbps while Telefonica - Movistar ranked last with an average speed of 2.15 Mbps," she adds. "In Switzerland, UPC Cablecom fell three spots to last place, with an average speed of 3.81 Mbps, down from 4.12 Mbps last month."
