The Walmart Black Friday 2014 memory card battle:

In related news, Walmart, the world's largest company by revenue, the largest private employer globally, with over two million employees, and the largest retailer in the world, saw its largest organized protest on Black Friday since it was founded by Sam Walton in 1962.

Over 1,600 demonstrators were unified by the Organization United for Respect at Walmart (OUR Walmart). The protesters appeared at various Walmart locations, demanding a $15 per hour minimum wage, and more consistent full-time opportunities.

"We're a grassroots movement," Abby Friend, a protester from Cincinnati remarked. "We're here today as a group of concerned consumers."

Military police had to step in to secure a safe shopping experience during the Black Friday event at a Walmart in Ferguson, Missouri:

Walmart recently announced in a statement that it received more than 500 million page views and the highest online sales day ever on Thanksgiving this year, second only to Cyber Monday 2013.
