Pope Benedict XVI – You’ve Got Mail

Get the WebProNews Newsletter:

Please don’t spam the Pope. New Catholic leader has a new e-mail address, following the example set by his predecessor John Paul II.

Online visitors to The Holy See now have a thoroughly modern way of contacting His Holiness: an e-mail address to Pope Benedict XVI has been established. The address, benedictxvi@vatican.va for English-speaking submitters, may be found as a link from the page announcing the new pope’s election. Thousands of well-wishers sent messages to John Paul II during the late pontiff’s last days.

It is not currently known if or when the new pontiff will reach out via e-mail, as John Paul II did from the Vatican in 2001 to address Catholic missionary abuse of South Pacific natives.
