US millionaire Gregory Olsen will pay Russia’s space agency $20 million USD for a trip to the International Space Station.

The 60 year old former scientist may accompany a Soyuz mission to the space station in October, during a delivery of supplies. Mr. Olsen would be the third private citizen to visit the station as a tourist.

Mr. Olsen made his fortune in infrared cameras, and will bring some of his cameras with him on the trip. He has been undergoing intense training in Russia for the opportunity to fly into space.

“I’m feeling great and hopeful that I will launch this fall. Training has been very intense, but enjoyable.” he said to AP. He had been scheduled to accompany a mission in April, until a medical exam in Russia uncovered a problem.

The undisclosed health issue seems to have been resolved in May, as Mr. Olsen was medically approved by the Russian space agency to continue training. That training includes distance running and Soyuz simulator exercises.
