Nope, the leading expeditors are not blogging..not that I am aware of anyway. But Bloglines just announced that you can track your packages through your Bloglines Feeds.

Now, you can have Bloglines track the status of your UPS, FedEx, and USPS packages. From your My Feeds page, click the Add link in the left pane. Then, click the Package Tracking link in the right pane. From there you can enter tracking numbers for UPS, FedEx, and USPS packages.

Also, you can do a search on a specific tracking number. Entering a tracking number will create a subscription in your account that is updated whenever the status of your package changes.

If it absolutely, positively HAS to be there overnight, you can rest assured your media kit, tchotchke or high-resolution images have arrived safely to your editor without missing a second of your precious RSS feeds. Now if only RSS could clean my oven.

Is it me, or shouldn’t Fed Ex or UPS blog? There have to be some great travel stories or behind the scene details these folks could provide the blogosphere. More importantly, I am willing to bet there is an audience out there interested in what they might have to say…top-down or bottom-up.

I am sending this formal complaint to all available avenues that I can, a customer, has experienced a very troubling experience with shipping my SONY VAIO computer with via UPS with Staples.

My name is ABBY; I bought a NEW SONY VAIO NOTEBOOK for $2,499.00 along with the additional service plan as a Christmas gift on 12/25/2006. I decided to return the above-mentioned NOTEBOOK for a replacement arranged with SONY. On Tuesday, FEB 02, 2007 I shipped the NOTEBOOK 12/30/2006, at a local staples store with a 2nd day special for UPS.

After 3 weeks of back and forth checking with SONY on the location of my NOTEBOOK. A SONY rep told me Staples should have provided me a tracking number. I then called Staples with the SONY rep on the phone, obtained the tracking number, GooGled the tracking number (1Z R43 507 03 0050 987 3) to discover that according to UPS WEBSITE (MERCHANDISE IS MISSING. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH ADDITIONAL DETAILS.;ALL MERCHANDISE MISSING, EMPTY CARTON IS BEING RETURNED. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH DETAILS OF THE DAMAGE.)

Called UPS and was TOLD they will pay for the merchandise. I later called 2 day and was told they will not be able to pay me for my NOTEBOOK as when you ship from STAPLES, STAPLES BECOME the SHIPPER and ALL PAYMENTS would be made to staples. STAPLES Manager (Kathleen) told me that she spoke with UPS they are asking for the details to replace my NOTEBOOK.

I later called Staples and was told that STAPLES has its OWN claims department that I need to file a claim with. Contact that department and the representative was means and nasty. I told them that I am saddened that Staples is not customer driven and the REP asked me if I need help or NOT. I request his supervisor and they Supervisor was much more NASTY.

I called STAPLES corporate office and was transferred to Customer Executive Team member TRACY CAMPBELL who took my detail and promise to return my call. She did ONLY to tell me that I had a declared value of $100.00. Bare in mind I did not have a copy of this shipping slip. I must admit, I may have signed off this slip without reading that this rep had inputted this value without asking me.

IT all come down to them NOT wanting to pay me. I am a SMALL BUSINESS OWNER and HAVE LOST ALL MY CUSTOMER INFORMATION AND GRAPHICS ON THIS COMPUTER.

STOPSHIPPINGWITHUPS.COM HAS I KNOW THIS ITEM WAS GOING TO BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF STAPLES I WOULD HAVE NEVER SHIPPED VIA STAPLES. ALL IN ALL THIS IS NEGLIENCE.

I know what you are going thru..My kids and I relocated here from NYC and they lost one box which had my son’s clothes. Newly bought from my tax return. Over $800 in new sneakers and clothes along with some other things. UPS took me thru the wringer as it was me that messed up. The then had the nerve to send me $100 …$100..I do hope that all who has had bad experiences like ours can band together and put a spoke in their wheel..My relocation costed me everything and UPS just added by not helping fix their f**k up…

      Good luck with everything

Sorry, that was your fault. It was their fault for losing the package but if you ship valuable things you should insure them. UPS and FedEx insures any package for up to $100 free, but anything over that, you must pay insurance. If you would have paid like $3-5 extra for insurance and gotten all of your money. What would happen if they just let you not insure packages for the value and pay you. Anyone could just say like, all my jewelry was in that package…give me $10,000 for any package lost. That would be ridiculous.

I know because I work for them and believe me you dont want to see what falls out of the trucks and what gets run over buy the trucks.

      • Matt

i was reading through this blog and saw that you work for ups and was wondering if UPS has any sort of internal phone book for direct numbers to centers and hubs? I know they have an internal phone system but those #’s cant be called from outside lines. The reason i ask is b/c work with ups directly for a lot of my business and to ahve the ability to contact centers directly when there is a major issue would be an unbelievable help

You can take it right back to the unions. Now adays not that stronge just a waste of union dues for a guy that shows up sober and does his job. Then you get the bonesheads that drop your package out the back of his truck and runs over it. Most likely because he had a few too many the night before or sucked off his crack pipe one toke over the line. Gets to work with his bad attitude not caring about you or your package. He gets by with this 50 times because he has a union that will get his job back for him.

No, for real UPS just needs to go away and let the real shippers handle the load. They can no longer handle even the smallest of task. I order something offline they ship it FED EX "standard rate" same as UPS ground. It gets here 2 days before it was supposed to. Now thats freaking service and no not a fluke happened everytime I order anything and its shipped FED EX. USPS what the hay I put them equal to UPS they run about the same charge about the same.

DHL no comment never used them or received anything from them. I do know 2/22/2008 I ship a package back to Motorola in Florida from Indiana. On 2/25/2008 it had traveled 48 miles from my home. HMM 3 days 48 miles I think I could ride bike and get the package there faster. UPS and their union SUCK just plain SUCK. The more you give them the less they will do just another proven case of a once decent company weakend by a bunch of cry baby high school drop outs who are lazy. Yes let me say that again LAZY!!!!!!!! O by the way I do not work for any shipping service just deal with them all the time. After this last package seeing its progress BIG BROWN seen the last of my good money.

fedex is not too bad. you have some real ups issues there pal. first if all, as far as ups drivers, 39% of them have a 4 year degree. 12% of drivers have their masters. so let’s cool out with the high school kid crap. second of all, no other package company is more efficent. true enough, if you order ground service…..guess what? yep it travels on the ground. it’s going bo be a while. you think it’s so easy a caveman can do it huh? well, working outdoors, dealing with customers like you, and having to grind hard everyday is not easy.  i’d bet you could not last till noon on an easy route. as far as caring about your package…….we care. we don’t care if it you ship a bowling ball in a shoe box and your crap is falling out. we don’t care if you shipped ground and your’e mad that it’s not there at teleort speed. we don’t care. just do your part and let the real educated boys and girls handle the rest.

To all people shipping packages: If the item you are shipping is worth more than $100.00 I recommend that you insure it. All packages are automatically insured for $100.00 if you want more insurance you need to specify that and you need to package it properly. I have worked for UPS for 18 years and I would have to estimate that over 90% of the packages that get lost or damaged are poorly packaged or improperly labeled. Always follow UPS packaging guidelines and make sure your label is durable enough to stay on the package and readable during transit, and its a good idea to put an additional address label inside the package just in case the outer label becomes unreadable or gets torn off the package somehow. If an address label gets torn or unreadable, UPS will try to find an address on an invoice or check inside the box for any clues to where it is going, if no address is available it gets sent to a huge warehouse full of stuff waiting to be claimed. If peolpe would package their items properly and insure them accordingly there would be very few dissatisfied customers.

UPS lies, I bought the Insurance to ship a 3000.00 pc tower to my son.I Insured it for 1.500.00.They are refusing to pay because the box was used and to soft. The box was basicly new,Not a mark on it. And time they got through banging it around and what looked like running over it it was totaly soft and wrinkled. The tower is a loss,as is the money I had in it,I wasted money to insure and ship it as well. They are done. They are keeping the money I insured it with and we have nothing left of the pc tower that we can use.

UPS Inspects the package before it ships, before you insure it.It passes and you pay. But if you need to file a claim your shipping box was no good…I call that a rip off. They should be shut down.

UPS lost my passport. They have horrible customer service representatives. I was supposed to travel to London and my trip has had to be cancelled.

    They are horrible !

I am the owner of one of those places that charge you extra for packaging and shipping. If you had come to me I would have informed you that if you do not pay for extra value protection on any given package that if something happens to your package you will only get the standard tarriff value which is 100.00 This is not just UPS but Fedex DHL and now even Express Mail. I know on my form there is a space to place value. I realize that forms are not some peoples forte so I religiously ask what the value is. Do you want it value protected and If you don’t the most you will be able to claim for this package is 100.00. And now for another piece of news that you might not be told but which is true of all carriers.

Carriers do no pay damage claims unless they consider the package PACKAGED ADEQUATELY (SP?). What that means to you the packing customer is that if it is fragile (glass ) double boxed with 2 inches of package materials floating the first box in the second box. Mind you the item in the first box should not move inside that box or rattle against something else. In the case of a high value item Computer laptop. They have shipping boxes available in most pack and ship stores and if they package and ship the liability is on them. Mind you that is what you pay extra for. For that person to protect your item, to know how to pack it and what is necessary to get it there in one piece.

Your package travel mates can be up to 150 lbs. conveyor belts do not read that fragile you write on them that scanner can only read the ups, dhl or fedex eyes it does not read this side up, fragile or anything else.

If you had insured your packages for the value of what was in them and UPS or fedex lost it then they would have paid your claim upon prove of value. So do not ship that expensive item without having a means to validate its cost. Think ahead. These all things that I routinely do for my customers, but then they pay me a premium to look after them

I ordered a portable air conditioner for my son for his unairconditioned apt in Brooklyn, NY. The offer included free shipping for ground shipment. Something that weighs 70lbs is something that I would ship ground anyway, so I decided to go with that method rather than pay a lot more $$ for something else. Wrong!

FedEx still has this air conditioner on their truck. Ground Shipping to them means, it is in the back of the truck while the ‘other date stamped’ packages are delivered. It took 2 days to go from California to NYC. It has been in Brooklyn for 5 days. He took the last 3 days off since each day, it said “delivery the next day”. Customer service said, it is being delivered today.

The manager was informed of the problem this am and decided to hold it at the Brooklyn office for pick-up!!! Didn’t call the customer or do what was requested just “HOLD IT”. So now what? My son is trying to get this resolved but without a car, he would have to hire a car service or cab to pick-up a 70lb parcel. The last update was that the phones at the Brooklyn office are down–yeh right! This was supposed to be a nice surprise for him…not a nightmare.

Fed EX no more for me.

Yes, I am posting in as many blogs as possible.

Fedex service suffers because the compnay treats it’s employees like INSECTS. Thanks God I left that HELL HOLE!

      • Masha

I can the same fro UPS. I worked for them for 8 years and once they went public they started treating employees like dirt. All along they sing their song “Our people are our biggest asset” though. I don’t want UPS to suffer because I left a lot of good people there but I don’t believe that they can go on like this.

On two occasions in Baton Rouge FedEx has supposedly tried to deliver separete packages but stated no one was home to receive them. On the second occasion I’m sure we were home.

Had I not have inquired I would not have known that attempts to deliver the packages were supposedly made (with the first I happened to find an attempted delivery notice on the side walk at our apartment complex and wondered if it was related to my package).

The second was/is my wife’s birthday present and was to be delivered on her birthday. This did not occur and since FedEx site is not open on Saturday I’ll have to try and pick up the package Monday (if I can get off work early enough to do so and if I can find it after I call FedEx back on Monday and they call the site — “number is private” — and give me directions. . .).

Etc, etc. In the future I hope to remember to request that UPS or USPS be used and NOT FedEx. FedEx should not exist. . .

    • Guest

I agree about the FedEx operation here in Baton Rouge. I was to receive an order on August 11, 2009 and it was not delivered because the carrier did not have access to the security code to enter the building. He did not bother to leave a notice. I only found out by checking the tracking on the website. FedEx claims to have attempted to deliver it again today (12th) but that is BS because I have caller ID and had he attemted to call my condo it would have registered on the caller ID (as it did yesterday). Again, no notice of attempted delivery. How am I supposed to receive this package unless I stay home 24 hours a day parked by the security door? This is pitiful. I have received packages in the past that were delivered by FedEx and whenever I was not home (99% of the time because I was at work) they left it in the office and had someone there sign for it. I don’t know what the problem is now but I have lost patience fast!

I just like to express my dissatisfaction w/ a UPS store located at 2416 W. Victory Blvd. Burbank CA. 91506.

When I walked in, I requested for an estimate of how much it would cost to ship my package. I was told that I’ll need a box for my package. I told them to give me an estimate for the whole thing and was told it’ll cost me $7.10. So I agreed to ship it. When it was time to pay they told me that the total came out to $11.42 including the box & taxes. I said that’s too much and do not wish to ship it w/ them anymore. After having said that, they asked how I’m going to ship it. I told them that I’ll just go to USPS and ship it using their pouch. Then they told me I have to pay for the UPS box they used. I sensed this guy won’t let me leave w/ out paying them a penny, so to avoid an outburst of confrontation & argument I just went ahead and shipped the package w/ them leaving the store a very unhappy & dissatisfied customer.

    • Bibi

You were also paying for the supplies used to put your shipment together.

Also the price difference could have been that you were shipping something that weight 1 pound and when it was put in the correct shipping container the dims were for a 5 pound rate. (I am only guessing on the weight)

Many people make the mistake of calling in to get a rate and not ask questions and not all information is given.

Inorder to save money on your shipping go directly to the station.  The Authorized shipping centers are in business for themselves and their rates will be higher for they also need to make $$$  –  just remember middle man!!!!

      also remember Convenience!!

The unscrupulous exploitation of residential customers by United Parcel Service (UPS) has become a shocker for me.

When I finished seminary in Berkeley California, my friend offered to help me move back home in Los Angeles. He and I had become good friends, but he decided that he wanted to move home to Mexico, to care for his mother.

I arranged to ship his clothing to Mexico for him, at the price of $384.00. So, UPS picked up my box, on December 18th. On the 19th I got a phone call saying I was missing commercial import forms. It seems Mexico has tight import laws, especially around the subject of clothing and I needed Commercial Import Forms. Since I was moving back to Los Angeles, it was going to be more of a hassle, so I was told that they would return it when they came for the normal pick-up at the school. I would ship it later from Los Angeles, after I got settled.

I got the box back on the 21st. However, a month later I got a phone call from a collection agency! It seems that UPS wants to charge me for shipping the box to Mexico – even though they never did.

I wonder, why UPS did not talk to me about this before hand? A collection agency seems over-kill, and more of an intimidation tactic than a customer service call. Today, I again explained on the phone, and once in writing, that the service was not provided. I would pay for the cost of shipping the box from Berkeley to the UPS depot and back, if they wanted to be that way.  I guess that would be fair, although I was hoping that they would see that the package was not sent to Mexico, apologize for the mistake, and say that nothing was needed. I like customer service places like that. I have had companies make mistakes before, and I always go back to the ones that simply apologize. Not in this case, I was told “No, the best I will do is give you a 30% settlement discount if you pay right now. This is a collections demand!”

After speaking with some people around my congregation, it seems that UPS does this sort of thing often. If a package has any problem, even before it is picked-up, they demand payment. So I wonder, who else has had this issue, and if you go it cleared up, how? What government agency might be best to report this kind of activity to? Is there a class action consideration out there for demand for services not rendered?

I sit here with the original shipping label, with a return to sender sticker on it. It says “Receiver did not order” Seems odd that since it never left the city, they would somehow claim that it made it to Mexico and back, all within three days and without any customs forms.

Anyone have an idea? I would love to hear.
    • Bibi

First report it to the the Better Business Bureau -

also go talk with the station manager – work someting out.

Yes Mexico is very strict on their Imports but if done right with the correct shipping company you will not have any  issues.

Remember all shipments  (excludes documents) going out of the country must have a Proforma or Commerical Invoice -

You list the items that are being ship and state that these items are not for resale – personal items.

Once the shipment arrives at the destination they will ask for the Cnee’s passport and travel document (airline ticket) to show proof he is the owner of the contents.

Next time use  DHL for your International shipping – We take care of the missing information on your paperwork so your shipment will not be delayed.

Oh, I’ll also say, FedEx is substantially cheaper than UPS for home customers and I never use UPS for that reason. FedEx does a good enough job and I use them for anything over 3 lbs ish, and USPS Parcel Post for things that weigh less. Anything under 13oz should always be shipped USPS First class because it’s like 3 day delivery and is extremely cheap, like $0.60-$3.50 or something. And insurance is cheap too, like $1.30 and up.

I just tried to send something to Canada and didn’t have all the proper forms. My package went to Ohio and back (from Oregon) because I didn’t call customer service in time to have them add the info (they hold it for 2 business days, then return it to you…seems like a logical way to do it to me) and I wasn’t even charged. FedEx seems great to me.

I worked at UPS for 5 years as a part time supervisor.  Everyday was a new adventure.  I am starting to retell them on my blog.  But yeah I agree.  There are a ton of stories to tell.  I worked there for 5 years…imagine what the veterans have to share.

    • Guest

I am with UPS for last 5 years. Amazing years… Lots of experience. One of the best company to work for. By the way lots of peple complain about delay and demate…. Look at the stat. and you will know who is better. We deliver about 13 Mil…packages per day…….

That would be interesting to experience a UPS Blog.  They are awful to work for.  They still tend to be very back-dated with the way they handle women and minorities.  The entire country has moved on and yet they hire women and minorityes (with some exceptions) for key jobs and fire them with very "made up"reasons after they have reached very high levels.  The reasons are the same each employee and I dont think UPS wants anyone to know the horrible inter-workings of this very backward company.   What a mess!  Use Fed-EX, DHL or the US MAIL!  Avoid UPS!!!!

    • http://kwendland73.blogspot.com Mr. W

Our building (Ontario Hub) was filled with minorities.  Depends on where you work.

I really sympathize with all of the unfortunate stories I’m reading here. "Richard" (not "Big Brown") used to be a wonderful company and an honor to work for.  I was an employee for thirteen years.

The stories I could tell … Without getting into specifics I will just say that the level of personal integrity from the employees was mind altering (in a good way.)  I have never personally witnessed so many people that would sacrifice so much to make their customers happy.  In the beginning, this was evident even to outsiders.  Unfortunately, this is not the case today.  The employees never lost their ambition. The company has taken these individuals and enforced so many demands upon them for that extra penny that the service that was once stellar is now average at best.  I actually left because my division’s accident rating (physical and vehicle) nearly crippled the workforce. Upper level management’s solution?  MORE demands and tighter schedules.  Crack that whip!!  I did not want to be another statistic so I got out.

It is really sad to see a company that had it correct in the beginning destroy it in the end.  I still get a creepy shiver whenever I see their ads exploiting the lengths their employees will go to for customers. The sad fact is that any extra step you take for the customer on road is penalized.  If your RTB (Return To Building Time) is off by 5 minutes at the end of the day and you do it 3 times you can look forward to a "letter" and possible termination if it continues.  Drivers are not going to do anything "extra" that will jeopardize their return times.  They WANT to but they can’t.

In the beginning, the company and employees had a wonderful commitment to one another.  So very rare …  It’s sad to see the larger of the two taking advantage.

    • Guest

As a 20 year driver, you hit it on the head..it’s really sad what UPS has become.

  • scott

UPS has to be one of the worst companies ever. Yes they handle millions of packages per day but is anyone checking to see how many packages are lost, delivered to the wrong address, damaged, stolen, etc? How is it that my injectable medication for Arthritis that was sent next day from 100 miles away is going to take 3 days to arrive? As a small business owner each time a package is misdelivered or lost it cost me personally. My time is worth money as is the chances of loosing a customer due to the ineptness of UPS. In the past 2 years we have had 7 packages lost, 5 damaged and countless delayed. The company does not value it’s customers as shown by there rude billing department.

There was once a time that the UPS driver arrived happy, eager, and pleasant. Now a days the drivers don’t really care how happy you are with the service or if package is lost. I asked our current driver “what happened to the good old days of drivers who gave a hoot?” (By the way he is one of the good guys) he told me that since the company went public moral has been its lowest and that they are treated like a replaceable robot. He like most of the tenured drivers is waiting to retire.

I choose to retire UPS as of today. They will no longer be my shipper of choice. Hopefully, FEDEX will show some interest in my wellbeing.
  • Theresa

My carrier would not leave my package at my door despite my signing EACH attempted delivery slip and instructing him to leave the package.  I know what’s arriving and feel ok with them leaving the shipment but they will not simply because I live at an apt complex.  What’s the POINT of paying to have somthing shipped if they expect you to be there at THEIR CONVENIENCE just to receive th package in person?  This idiot has no thoughts about throwing my packages onto my SECOND floor patio from the ground level and breaking planters but will not leave anything at my door even with an authorizing signature!!!  I’ve had better luck with Fedex and the USPS, no question.

    • Bibi

Many shippers will send items requesting "IN PERSON SIGNATURE ONLY".  An no matter how many notes, door tags you sign the shipment can not be left at door.

As to you living in an apartment – is your apartmet door in a high traffic area?  Does you leasing office accept shipments for their residents?  Maybe from experience the courier will not leave shipments at doors of your apartment complex.

It is better to have your shipment save than trying to locate a shipment that was picked up by someone else and for you to think that the courier took it.

I WORK FOR UPS AND I DO FEEL THAT SOMETIMES COMMERCIALS MAYBE MISLEADING. BUT I ALWAYS THINK THAT SOME CUSTOMERS BELIEVE THAT UPS ARE SOME CRAZY GODS THAT CAN MOVE WATER AND BLINK AND A PACKAGE HAS MOVED FROM ONE SIDE OF THE COUNTRY TO THE OTHER. I ALSO FEEL THAT PEOPLE MISTAKE CARRIER SERVICES AND THERE EMPLOYEES FOR PERFECT INDIVIDUALS. UNFORTUNATELY MICROSOFT HAS CREATED COMPUTERS THAT FROM TIME TO TIME HAVE ERRORS AND CAUSE MISHAPS AND PEOPLE FORGET THAT THE INDIVIDUALS WHO WORK IN THE WAREHOUSES ARE JUST THAT, HUMANS. THAT FROM TIME TO TIME MAKE MISTAKES. I FEEL THAT IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION THEN YOU SHOULD CALL OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GET AN UNDERSTANDING OF HOW UPS WORKS. 90% OF PACKAGES ARE HANDLED BY MACHINE. IF YOU SHIP SOMETHING YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THIS. IF YOU SHIP A LETTER THEN YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU DO NOT CHOOSE TO SHIP IT AS SUGGESTED WHICH WOULD BE AN AIR SERVICE  THEN YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE HANDLED WITH 10 MILLION OTHER PACKAGES A DAY THAT PROBABLY WEIGHT WELL OVER 1 OZ. AND THAT IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO SPEND YOU EXTRA PENNY TO INSURE THE PACKAGE AND IT IS BROKEN THEN YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL THAT UPS SHOULD PAY OUT A 2000 CLAIM BECAUSE AS STATED  BEFORE EVERYTHING DOES NOT RUN COMPLETELY SMOOTHLY IN ANY COMPANY AND ACCIDENTS HAPPEN. AND I ALSO THINK THAT WHEN YOU ORDER SOMETHING AND YOU WANT IT SHIPPED AND YOU NEED IT IN A TIMELY MANNER THEN YOU MUST PAY THE PRICE. AND MOST LIKELY THE PERSON WHO SHIPPED IT HAS AS GREAT OF AN UNDERSTANDING OF UPS AS YOU DO SO THEY MAY NOT BE GIVING YOU FULL AND TRUE INFORMATION. ALSO ALOT OF PEOPLE MAKE COMPLAINTS THAT PACKAGES ARE NOT JUST LEFT BUT YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THAT IF WE LEFT EVERYONES PACKAGES AND THEY WERE NOT SHIPPER RELEASED WHICH MEANS SHIPPER DID NOT RELEASE PACKAGE FROM UPS CARE THEN WE DO PAY OUT ALL THOSE CLAIMS, SO IF YOU WANT YOUR PACKAGE LEFT THEN THE SHIPPER MUST REQUEST THAT AT TIME OF SHIPMENT OTHERWISE THE SHIPPER HAS LEFT THAT AT THE DISGRESSION OF UPS SO THEREFORE YOU NEED TO BE ANGRY WITH YOUR SHIPPER. I ALSO FEEL THAT PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT A UPS STORE IS. YES THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UPS AND A UPS STORE . WHEN YOU WALK INTO A UPS STORE IM SURE THERE IS A SIGN IN EVERYONE MAYBE IN SMALL PRINT THAT STATES INDIVIDUALY OWNED AND OPERATED. THEREFORE UPS DOES NOT OWN THIS BUSINESS AND JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE PURCHASED OUR NAME DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE HAVE ANY CONTROL OVER WHAT THEY SAY OR DO. FOR FUTURE REFERENCE IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A UPS STORE PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THEY ARE OWNED BY THE CORPORATION CALLED MAILBOXES ETC AND IF YOU CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR UPS THEY WILL BE MORE THEN HAPPY TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THERE CORPORATE NUMBER FOR MAILBOXES ECT. UNFORTUNATELY I AM AN INDIVIDUAL WHO DOES ALL OF MY PURCHASES IN PERSON FOR FEAR OF MANY THINGS THAT MAY HAPPEN DURING SHIPPING AND KNOW THAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS THEN ONLY I CAN BE TO BLAME. I HAVE REALLY ONLY DEALT WITH USPS PERSONALLY AND I FEEL THAT THEY OVER POWERED BY OUR GOVERNMENT SO YOU GET THAT KIND OF SERVICE.. GO FIGURE. WELL THATS ALL JUST MY PIECE OF MIND. BUT ALL IN ALL NO MATTER WHAT CARRIER YOU CHOOSE YOU CAN TALK TO ANY LARGE COMPANY WHO USES ALL CARRIERS. YOU GET CLOSE TO THE SAME RESULTS. BUT THE NUMBERS WILL PROVE WHO HAS BEEN AROUND THE LONGEST AND WHOSE REVENUE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON TOP.

Your company is in the delivery business and like any other business customer satisfaction is priority. If the reason to loss packages or damage them is that UPS handles millions of boxes per day, then UPS should not handle millions of packages per day.  Fedex and USPS also handle high volume and I have never had any problems with them. You do the equation.

      • Guest

UPS may be in the delivery business and customer satisfaction is priority, but if you don’t take steps to protect yourself, then your the one to blame. UPS has coverage for lost packages, but if you don’t spend the extra money, then you not getting more then $100.00. Also FedEX and USPS have just as many problems as UPS.

I was a driver for UPS in the DFW area, In 1994 I  started as a part-time loader/ sorter as most employees do. I drove from 1997 until 2005 and decided to leave. I agree with most of the posts here. I do disagree with the characterization of the employees. The men that worked there were honest hard working men who have a devotion to the job. They are just  in a system that is now interested in only one thing. WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THE STOCK TODAY!!!!!  Only employees or current employees would understand the unrealistic expectations that are asked. The drivers are compensated well with benefits and pay, but for me the trade-off was not worth it. I’m out of a system that kept me away from my family until 7pm-8pm every night.. missing my daughters school functions.and not being part of the family.

at least you had the balls to leave……….I hear most of those guys complaining all the time about that place………I admire your courage to get the f………..out of there on your own terms.

I’ve just had a problem with a shipment sent through Fedex to a customer.  The total boxes that Fedex claims to have been delivered were 186 boxes.  However, as my customer was receiving the boxes she counted 161, and the Fedex driver claimed that 174 boxes were delivered and had her sign for 174 boxes.  However, in my supplier’s report from Fedex, Fedex claims all186 boxes that were shipped were delivered.   Sure enough, Fedex has a "Delivered" status on all the boxes.  I don’t want to go around falsely accusing anybody of anything here.   However, I am interested in finding out from everyone…what you think could have happened here?  Aside from maybe my customer lying (which I don’t believe is the case).  Is there a way, that Fedex can change Proof of Delivery status on other boxes and not having actually delivered them???

I know my customer screwed up in signing for boxes she wasn’t sure she received, but what other possibilities exist that maybe we’re just overlooking??

    • Bibi

When I was a courier for DHL and I was delivery a shipment with mulitiply boxes I would ask the Cnee to sign their name and write in the number of boxes rec’d.  That way both of us made sure we counted the boxes for that shipment.  And many times not all boxes arrived at the same time – especially if using ground service.

  • roc

$91.25 to ship a package from kc to the uk………..had insurance as everything arrived broken………….getting the shipping fee back even though they packed it??…….forget about it!!!………..don’t worry ’bout a thing!!!…….sure, right………….worst customer service ever experienced………scew ups and their little neighborhood stores……..bad word of mouth is the best advertising………i hope their trucks die!!!!

      Ohhhhh Lord!!!

This is something as normal for UPS as for their organization employees go to the bathroom to…!!

I was looking for Info about UPS customer satisfaction.  The same happended to me.  On April 5th 2008 I called UPS to arrange and pick up and delivery from New York to Atlanta, because I moved I picked up everything and choosed Ups for the delivery "Bad decision".

Ok, The driver went home New York and picked up Four boxes, including a 46′ flat Sony Bravia LCD, "NEW" "NEVER OPONED WITH IT ORIGINAL PACKAGE" WITH ALL THE PROTECTION INSIDE WITH FOAM IN AVERY CONER AND IN THE FRONT, UPPER AND LOWER PARTS OF THE TV IN THE BOX, OF MORE THAN 2 " HEIGH OF WIDTH AS THEY REQUIRED’.

The thing is that they broke the TV THAT COST ME $2,000.00 PLUS TAXES. when I called the first day they told me:  We already know we broke the television, we made the report, someone will go to your home to pick up th Tv Back, and whent we determined what happended will will give you a refund.

Days later I called, The answer was ‘We are sorry but we wont pay you the Tv.  They sent the TV back to NEW YORK, Now the TV is also lost.  they have not idea where is the television.  They still saying they wont pay me(Fist they broke it, and now is lost}.  When I called to arrange the pick up no one offered extra Insure, neither asked me if I wanted to declare the value.  When I asked ‘What about the value, the stupid girl that I was talking to told me You do not have to declare the Value!!!

After four months I decided to sue UPS IN COURT:  I hope all persons looking for a Shipping company, never go to UPS. HORRIBLE THE EXPERIENCE.

    Look what their allegations are:

Also they are sending bills home saying tha I did not pay the delivery, even when I paid them with the money order number:08817057230. for $367.06.

I’m there with you. I buy 80-90% of my purchases online. In the past I had also baaaddddd experiences with UPS shipping. The boxes were always damaged and smashed. I now do business with Amazon. For the past 2 years I never bother to ship other than regular ground and Amazon has used USPS (United States Post Services) and I never got any problem with them. Yesterday I wanted to buy a computer thru amazon and finally deicded to use their Prime services. Today in the morning I noticed that once you start using their premium services "prime", Amazon ships thru UPS. Well it took me less than  minutes to cancel the Pime subscription…. I will never buy things online if they will be shipped thru UPS.

Will I dont even know how to start. I uderstand that packages get lost, but trying to get a manager or some one to help you is a nightmare.Small town not even the owners Bill and Patti Myers will return my calls. I just want them to know how there store is being run. I sent two bottles of wine that I needed for a tasting that never made it. So I called UPS to try and see what happen. I found out I mailed my wine by an independently owned franchisees. So I had to call the store to track my wine. I found out that my wine was placed wtih a wrong label by a store employee and was sent to Texas. The manger said she would refund my charge of $82.40 that never happen. I balance my check book today 15 days later found the mistake. I called Toni at the store and she said that it because I did not give her my CC#. I told her that she and an employee Brittany told be weeks ago that I was refounded. she stop me in med sentence and told me in a rude voice just give me the number to credit your card. I’ve called the store 4 times now. Toni has told me that my package of wine has been mailed back to her store, but yet I have not heard back so when I call she tells me when she gets the wine she’ll call me again in rude voice. As if to say I’ll call you don’t call here any more "with out saying it." I ask her today what the problem she said that the company that ship Alcohol for her NOT UPS has not gotten back to her. I ask when was she going to call and let me know this. She said that she’ll call when my wine is return to her store. HELP I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. IS IT LOST AND I FILL A CLAIM OR WHAT FOR MY NEVER COMING PHONE CALL FROM TONI. My only hope is to have Bill and Patti Myers call me back, but they wont. Many places in the Napa Valley to ship wine. I will tell all my guest at Domaine Chandon Winery not to ship wine at the UPS store on 2nd Street down town Napa. Service is ill in the higest extreme. My stomach hurts every time I call the store just to ask a question.

    Dan,

As a 20 year UPS driver and a bass player in Instant Replay, ( youtube..type "Dweighn" in the search bar)….I have a couple of  thoughts.

The reason you could’nt get anywhere with UPS is because Pak-n-Ship sent the pkg on their account….so all claims go through them.

Packages over 70 pounds are hand-carted through our facilities..they rarely touch conveyor belts but they "tangle" with other pkgs weighing in at 150lbs for their duration.

My "guess" is that the label attached by Pak-n-ship was scraped off by another over-weight pkg. Ups stores attach a label and hand-write the address as well. My "guess" is that the keyboard was held in limbo until a claim came through or was sent quickly to a UPS warehouse where the public can purchase un-claimed..un-labeled UPS pkgs. Sounds like UPS jumped the gun on that one…but their would be a record at the Vernon hub. I would go directly to the Vernon Hub and try to have a customer counter employee have a "packege Clerk" do a quick search for an un-claimed keyboard at the time yours was missing. You’ll be doing Pak-n-Ship’s job but I think you’ll get results.

We have cameras everywhere..metal detectors and property searches in and out of the buildings. There’s no-way the pkg was stolen if we didn’t track in to a package car. We ship 9 million pkgs a day and sometimes we fail a shipper..but most of the time it was a shipper error. EVERYDAY I re-affix labels that were put on at a high rate of speed at a shippin outlet..everyday.

As a professional musician I can understand how you feel and wouldn’t even try to stop your crusade to bad-mouth UPS. I’m just hoping to give you a little more info on what might of happened.

Ups knows that an unhappy customer reaches around 90 people with their complaints. We’ve been in business for 101 years and we do everything possible to avoid what happened to you. All of our trucks have active GPS tracking and technology is coming to place chips in every package we ship.

Sorry about the keyboard, hope your music is going well…I’m just a driver but know your frustration.

Here’s the update to the story everyone.

First, I had call after call and got a phone number for a level up on trace.

They found the package in Utah in unclaimed/label missing.

Finally gave me a new tracking number, and it was delivered on the 13th.

So, it arrived. Great news. Bad news is:: There was some damage. WHY?? BECAUSE THEY DON’T HAVE BRAIN OR ENOUGH HONOR TO KNOW HOW TO PACK THIS AS IT SHOULD BE….

Now it isn’t all bad, except the shipper only put 100 insurance on this $1800 purchase. Well, the wheels on the case were pulled and almost destroyed. The rivets holding the wheel casings were pulled away from the case.

That will have to be fixed by a luggage shop, unless someone out there has another suggestion that would help me here in San Diego.

"The keyboard has a broken Right cover which is only $80 but the labor will be over 100 because they have to take it apart.

The music holder was broken as well. The seller told me he it tight on money also, so I don’t know whether he will send me any more than the 100 insurance, so I will probably have to spend some more to get this the way it was suppose to be.

Lesson: FIRST, NEVER BUY FROM ANYONE YOU DON’T KNOW.

THE ONLY RELIABLE TRANSACTIONS I HAVE HAD LIKE THIS WERE ALL THROUGH EBAY. AT LEAST THERE WAS RECOURSE, AND THE SELLERS HAD TO WATCH SOME INTEGRITY. THIS SELLER IS ALSO ON EBAY, AND HE SAID TRUST ME.

Thought all of you might like to hear the "rest of the story"…

Take care people. Remember, there are some good people in this world. Few,, yes. but some. Try to find them and keep them in your world. It may be the only sanity left to hold on to.

Be aware, that UPS will post  note  on tracking that the business was closed, and they play stupid allllllll day long.  Due to their lack of knowledge the package is lost, and if it’s lost how can the driver deliver it?????????….to add insult to injury they just lie, lie, lie, lie……….BEWARE UPS DOES NOT CARE!  LIP SERVICE IS NOT CARING!  THERE IS NO ONE THERE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!  JUST PASS THE BUCK!  THEY HAVE ALL KINDS OF DISCLAIMERS TO PROTECT THEIR IGNORANT ASSES……..THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT LIARS ALWAYS GET CAUGHT UP IN THEIR OWN LIES>>>>>>SAD TO SAY "BROWN" GOT CAUGHT WITH SHIT ON THEIR FACES>>>>>>>>

  • Guest

I honestly dont understand how UPS can stay in business.  I dont have any huge horror story about things being lost or damaged just that they only  try and deliver packages between 9 and 5 when most people are at work.  Lets say you do stay home from work and wait for them, well then they dont show up in their specified time frame (or once did not call my number that I left on the door for them because the manager wont fix the d*mn buzzer).  So the next option is to pick up your package, but the note doesnt say where the depot is like the US postal service so you have to call the number and speak to the directory system… say you want ‘agent’ not opperator like every other directory operating system, then the directery asks you if your sure ‘YES’ or else I wouldnt have asked.  So that is how you find out where your package is and for a city like Seattle its not centrally located… its down by the boeng airport where you need a car to get to; and are they going to pay me for the gas or time it takes me to drive the f*ck down there?  So really when you ship UPS you should add at least 2 hours staying at home waiting for the package, 20 min navigating the web site to find out that to get the address of the depot you have to call, 10 of the most frustraiting min. of your life navigating the phone directory to talk to a real person, 10 min. talking to a person who will be very sorry YOU feel that way (dont have the most idiotic parcel delivery system known to man and I wont feel this way or did you forget you are providing a service to a customer), conservative 40 min round trip to drive to the depot costing an again conservative estimate of $5 in gas.  In total add $5 and 3 hours 20 min to the cost of any package you plan on recieving from this service.

I paid UPS to ship a package from the USA to Canada.

It took just over twenty four hours to get from Minneopolis MN to Mount Hope, Ontario, via Louisville KY and Buffalo NY.

Then  the delivery was "rescheduled" !.

    I phoned UPS.

My package will now sit on a truck for the next THREE DAYS less than 20 miles away, and there’s no way I can get it delivered or pick it up.

So UPS is 99% good – unfortunately the last 1% is what matters !!

Had my parcel imported into Canada, and it stopped there. It sat for 16 hours in Concord Ontario without moving. Concord is about 5 blocks from Pearson (Toronto) airport. It arrived in Ft. Eire Ont. at 3:20 PM Wed, and didn’t leave Concord until Thursday at 4:17 PM. I wonder where it went now.

      • Tenspot

….and now it’s Saturday Am and the pkg left concord, and is unaccounted for for the last 28 hours. Enough time to circumvent the globe 2-3 times.

        • Tenspot

The dog team must have made a right turn at Winnipeg. Sunday night and still unaccounted for. If it wasn’t the dog team then somebody must be driving around Toronto with my car parts on their car.

I agreed UPS has to be one of the worst companies ever.  I quoted for !CAD$1000. After receving 5 packages with weight 69.3KG. UPS charged me for CAD$1767.5(Freight) + $609.79 (Fuel)=TTL shipping charges is: CAD$2,377.29!! They said the collect charges will be different from the quote I quoted online. If I know the collect charge will be doubled, I wouldn’t use UPS for sure!!

I’ve been in mangt with UPS for over twenty years and it has been a terrible time. The relentless conf calls and berating that mangt takes is not right. The demands on one’s time is ridiculous, the average Full time supervisor works 11-13 hours per day ? The last five years have been worst then ever because we have had such a brain drain of our solid leaders and now with battlefield promotions of people who have little or no success, we are being managed by a cast of idiots. Talk with a UPS mangt person and they will tell you their retirement date, why? because they can’t wait to leave. Most of us cannot afford to leave due to a pension at the end of our term. But there is hope, UPS paid out over 80 million in a major lawsuit with our part time supervisors. The lawsuit was about abusing this groups hours, (making them work 6-7 hours per day) but only paying them 5.5. This lawsuit has caused a fault line thru the higher ranks from Atlanta right down to us lowly Full time supervisor’s. We are threatened at least once a week about this lawsuit and to monitor our people’s hours. When in fact it was upper mangt who looked the other way on this practice. Although we are salaried employees I believe that there is a very strong under current brewing across the company that we should not be mistreated, berated or overworked to the degree that we have been and this lawsuit was the first opening for us. Want proof of this nasty enviroment? Ask the next UPS driver you run into about him or her joining the mangt ranks and be ready for their response of complete anger or a loud laugh. In the past we would have a bench of 2-3 employees per operating center waiting to become mangt. now there is hardly one per operating district?  FYI, I am still employed at UPS, and I am not one of those "dirtbag" mangt people that upper mangt has looked down upon. I am fortunately still in good graces with upper mangt and I am looked upon as a leader for my operating center, so I do not post this material as a scorned, irrational revengeful person. I post this information because I want the other mangt people at UPS to stand up and help change our company back to the way it was before. As many of us say to each other everyday, "What was once a career, is now a job". By the way it is peak delivery season and evryone is being e-mailed daily not to have their drivers go over the DOT rules of 60 hours, but how many mangt people are on the road more then 60 hours?

I’m a part-time sup. at ups. I’ve had 5 coordinators in the 3 years I’ve been there. I noticed 2 of the 3 were sucessful. The 2 that were: Knew how to manage and talk to both the supervisors and the hourly’s. The three that weren’t hated their jobs and work a lot of hours.

After 5 years of success delivery by UPS, they refused to deliver to my house the last 3 deliveries. They claim they can’t make it up the incline on our street during the winter. FEDEX does, the garbage man does, everyone on our street does.

So every delivery by UPS is delayed one day because they send it back to the hub, call us to make other arrangements for delivery, and deliver the next day. We all pay a pretty penny for UPS and then they don’t deliver! We will surely let everyone know NOT to use UPS.

What can Brown do for you? NOT MUCH!!!!!

  • Guest

Ups!!! We ride by, throw it at a porch or door and then we are off. If you don’t get your package, file a claim. And our response will be, ” We delivered your package, because we said we did” case closed. Believe me people, that’s how it works. Been there, done that!!!! You know what? The address they say they threw the package at, doesn’t even exist !!!

I worked for UPS for 7 years, from 75 to 82, starting as a p/t unloader and leaving as a manager in hub operations (metro ny-43 st)

I run my own business and have used ups, fedex and usps and there are advantages and disadvantages to all.

fedex has the best tracking system and seems to refuse to pay any claim. they are cheaper than ups for air shipments, if you have a contract that gives discounts, or, belong to an organization that gets a discounted rate. their billing system has to be examined with a fine tooth comb-every bill must be compared to the air waybill cost generated in fedex ship manager. they change the bills without notification. their ground service is fine, except when something unexpected happens, like a job action at ups in 97-their system had a meltdown that took 6 months to recover from.

ups has been the most reliable service for my business-we have used them since 1982 and had only 4 claims in that time-all paid without exception, except for an international, which we had to sue in small claims court. the day of the trial, their attorney appeared and said they would pay in full-and they did.

usps is generally the least expensive-however, their tracking system is practically useless. if your shipment is relatively low value and you do a lot of volume, priority mail is a great deal, although they just switched to dimensional weight.

I am so dissapointed with UPS. I paid to have a package overnighted for delivery today. Then I check tracking and it says we were not open so the package will be delivered the next business day. We have been open since 7:30 AM. I called the local UPS and they said unfortunately my address was one of many they deceided not to deliver today since it is Good Friday. And, I need to get my refund from the shipper!!! Neither I not my business will use UPS again. FedEX will get all of my business from now on.

UPS is the worst company to deal with. I just tried to drop a package off at a UPS Store for delivery tomorrow. It was 5:05 and the driver said he could not wait for me to go into the store and get the little plastic envelope to hold my already printed label. Their website states that the last pick up is at 5:30. The damn driver left 25 minutes early. This is not the first time at this location. The other time I dropped the package at a few minutes before 5:00 and the tracking showed it did not get picked up until the following day. This driver must go. This is at the UPS store at Eloa and New York in Aurora, IL.

My name is Nick De Marco, I am a security guard here at Rosemead Place, I have a problem with one tenent at the UPS Store – He thinks since he owns the Store he can OVERCHARGE Customers more than necessary & Yell at the security guard when the security is doing the job the way that they were taught to.

Mr. Garza needs to leave Rosemead Place or shape up because he is the only one who complains about security

I currently use a website called www.e-delivered.com it provides discounted shipping rates both domestic and international for small businesses. You can get set up one of two ways: as an individual shipper or as a company where you obtain your own login. Depending on your volume you can save up to 50% off overnight US carriers which is difficult to do if you do not have the volume to merit that kind of discount. So check them out at http://www.e-delivered.com

The company that I work for uses UPS as a shipping method and we have complaints about lost or damaged merchandise on a DAILY basis. We sell many breakable items and when we have a lot of packages they just throw them on the truck, LITERALLY THROW THEM ON THE TRUCK because it takes less time. We have said something to them several times about not throwing the items and also have mentioned it to the supervisor that comes here in her gray Hillary Clinton pant suit and blackberry issued to her by UPS to try and smooth things over. Quite honestly we lose more money shipping with UPS but unfortunately that is not my call to make.

Regardless, knowing how inept this company is I had personalized memorial buttons for a breast cancer walk this Sunday printed up and sent to me via UPS that shipped out to me on October 1st, From California to New York. The package was last scanned in NJ. Lo and behold it was lost by UPS somewhere between NJ and NY. A mere 50 mile radius. Now I have to try and get the company (which is closed today for Columbus day) to remake the pins and ship them out to me in time for Sunday which is not going to be possible because they would need to reprint the pins and put them together and get it from California to NY by Friday since UPS doesn’t ship on weekends. This is not the first time I have had a problem with them and I will never ship through them again. I know that not all of their drivers throw the boxes or not every box is lost or damaged but my experiences with them have been more of a headache then anything and I can’t be bothered.

I was an independent contractor for Fed ex ground. I have recently sold the route. Reason for post is I saw firsthand. How FED EX management’s only concern is to get the packages out of the building. What I mean is as soon as the packages are on the outbound trucks. They become the sole responsibility of that contractor. That means your “package” is being handled by a driver who is working for a contractor. Making $75-$100 a day. Working in excess of 10hrs a day. Here is an example of the service you might receive. Sanofi – Pasteur is a shipper who uses fed ex ground (Pittston Pa. Armstrong rd.) a”driver”did not want to return to the terminal in Pittston pa. with packages that he did not deliver. For fear of being reprimanded by management. So this driver scanned all of the packages as delivered placed them in a bag and hid them outside behind a rock near the terminal. These packages were later found and it was brought to the attention of management. Oddly this driver is still employed with FED EX. They preach “integrity” is there #1 priority. Really?

I feel sorry for the employees of one of the UPS hubs. They receive emails like “Don’t make me have to ask twice for this!
    Get it done tonight!
Slit ***** fleet between you and get it done.”.
They also get yelled at over the phone as well as in person and they are treated like misbehaved, stupid little children. Same on UPS acting like that!

UPS not only will not stand by thier word on refunds, but they treat certain employees like crap. They terminate them for stuff thier bosses told them to do. I will not deal with them for anything else. FEDEX here I come.

This is what I sent to UPS, today, 1/6/2010…I want to let you know that I canceled my service because I was lied to. I feel cheated. Early Nov. 2009 I opened up another UPS account (Juanita told me the same rates would be the same as our other account # xxxxxx). I found out last Wednesday so I called UPS. Some called me Monday morning (left me a message). I called them back later on that morning (left a message). Carla called me this morning & told me I cannot have the same rate. Boy, am I pissed!!!! UPS is very unethical!!!!

I only had 500 character spaces, but I have to tell you UPS has some nerve….

I already have a discounted UPS account. I wanted to open up another account using a different credit card. This is easier for my record keeping. I told the UPS rep back on Nov. 2, 2009 that I would not do this unless I received the same rates. I found out last week that I was not getting the discount that I was told that I was getting. Last Wednesday I called and explained the situation & I was told someone would call me back before the end of the business day or tomorrow. Someone called me at 8:15 the following Monday morning. They left a message & I called them back later on that morning. I received his voice mail & I left a message. This morning, 2 days later, a different rep calls me & tells me that they cannot honor (she did not go to a supervisor or call Juanita) the same price (2 accounts under the same name, one with a discount & the new one creating more business cannot get a discount) because I would need the association I belong to to send a letter to them letting them know I am a member (shouldn’t they already have this? same company, 2 accounts…she did not understand). I also let her know that I could go to one of the many UPS stores in the area & get a 5% discount for showing my aaa card. Why should I pay full price? I already take all my packages to the UPS center anyway…they do not pick up from me. I did not get a reply to that. I let her know that I needed to hang up because I was getting angry because I feel cheated & I let them know what they were doing was unethical. So I said have a nice day & I hung up. I did not want to speak to a supervisor (I wonder when I would have received that call). I canceled my service & I sent the e-mail above to UPS. Do you think I will get a response? I really don’t care if I do not. I will let you know.

You get different stories when you speak to different agents. They totally messed up and blame someone else when they did not deliver package as promised and paid for. I was told I would get my refund and now they are blaming others. Obviously not all of them can read as package was missorted at one plant and did not get to the destination until way later. This caused a domino effect and ended up costing way more than just the refund.

I never thought that I would say this, but UPS has turned out to be as sorry as the postal service. Poor, poor service when you are trying to get a problem solved. They damaged some merchandise that I bought and 3 months later, I still haven’t been compensated. I’m now going to take them to small claims court and see if they like that. I will choose different shipping preferences for my Ebay business transactions. I would be willing to bet that Fedex will appreciate my business.

    • UPS SUCKS….

hi everyone..I just want to share my experience about UPS, we used UPS because we know that this kind of carrier is very fast and safe delivery but i was wrong!!! did you know guys that we pay 545 canadian dollars for 19 lbs. package and they told us (UPS) that the package will arrive in the philippines within 4 days, after 4 days of waiting the UPS philippines phoned my mother that she need to pay a total amount of 9,503 pesos or 221 canadian dollars for duty and taxes because according to UPS philippines they will not release the package until the taxes is not yet paid, so we have no choice we paid the fucking taxes, so the total amount that we paid for only sending a 19 lbs of package is 761 canadian dollars…….this is our first time to use this fucking UPS….DHL and FEDEX is not like this so we are very very dissappointed to the UPS…..so guys i recommend you all its better to not use a UPS for sending package….
