Favorite Feed Vote and Update

I received an email the other day from a site called Search Engine Feeds claiming to be running a Favorite Search Engine Feeds vote for the next month or so.

You can nominate your SEO or search engine related blog. If you’re in the mood, feel free to vote for “Top Rank Blog” near the bottom.

Posting has been REAL light lately because we are running at full speed here at TopRank. We’ve been very fortunate to sign on some fantastic projects in the past few months. The number of blog consulting and blog marketing projects has increased tremendously and I think it’s an indication from the business community that blogs are becoming more accepted as marketing tools and not just virtual podiums for pontification.

Next week Thomas and I fly out to Boston for the WebmasterWorld Pubcon conference. Am really looking forward to it as Brett has really put together a great lineup of speakers and sponsors. I’m also looking forward to catching up with some East Coast SEO friends and seeing some of Boston., maybe even some of the Boston marathon.

Thomas showed me a cool tool today called iRows. It’s a web based spreadsheet tool that you can organize by tags and import/export excel documents to. Excellent for remote team collaboration.

Several months ago, our regional interactive marketing association (MIMA) launched a SEO/SEM discussion thread using Yahoo Groups. It’s at about 70 members now and we’ve started meeting offline. Tonight will be the third time and I’m looking forward to meeting everyone. I’m the moderator and I missed the first two times – isn’t that bad of me?

There’s a lot of talented SEO and SEM practitioners here in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) and this group has been very useful for sharing information – even between competitors. That’s what I call, “coopetition”.
