Video site Dailymotion is now streaming content from Hulu as the result of a partnership between the two entities. This comes shortly after Hulu ordered TV.com and Boxee to stop using its content.

Hulu content on Dailymotion

"Dailymotion is delighted to partner with Hulu to bring some of the best in Web video entertainment to our audience," said Joy Marcus, General Manager of Dailymotion US. "We’re confident that our audience will benefit not only from the addition of such an impressive line-up of content, but also from the premium entertainment experience offered by Dailymotion’s advanced technology. In addition to the shows they already know and love, we’ll help them find new favorites through our programmed-channel approach."

Dailymotion stands to get a nice boost in use as a result of the deal, but as Silicon Alley Insider’s Dan Frommer who calls Dailymotion the  French YouTube says, most of the sites visitors are overseas, and this is a US-only deal.

Although data shows YouTube had a much better month than Hulu  in January, Hulu brand awareness got a significant boost after a Super Bowl Ad at the beginning of February.

This is a nice deal for Dailymotion, which will get more premium content to sell banner ads around.
