Conan Takes on the Absurdity of Twitter

Unveils Twitter TRACKER on The Tonight Show

With Conan O’Brien taking over hosting duties on The Tonight Show, from 17 year veteran Jay Leno, it’s no denying that the audience will be slightly younger… dare I say more tech savvy?

Perhaps The Tonight Show writers were thinking along those same lines last night when Conan asked the audience "anybody here Twitter?"

The question was greeted with the usual clapping and hollaring, signifying some in the audience used the micro blogging service. Conan proceeded to introduce Twitter TRACKER. A service that monitors celebrity tweets so the updates can be passed along to the audience. You can check out the video for yourself below.

It’s very reminicsent of a cheesy monster truck commercial isn’t it?

Even though The Tonight Show was poking fun of Twitter last night, you can follow them @NBCConan, which proves they know the true power of Twitter.

Don’t be to disheartened though, as it appears that some staffer of The Tonight Show is doing the tweeing and not Conan himself.

You may be sick of hearing about it… but you can’t deny it’s power.

Do you currently use Twitter in your business marketing?
