YouTube Censors Islam Critic?

At YouTube, You can say pretty much whatever You want, as long as it’s not about Islam. If that’s not true, YouTube user Nick Gisburne begs to differ after his account – his entire account – was deleted for its "inappropriate content." What exactly did he say? Well, nothing really. He let the Koran speak for itself.

Gisburne is a self-described atheist with, at least from the one video, a deep questioning of Muslim claims about the Koran. To express his doubts about Islam being a religion of peace, Gisburne created a 10-minute video, entitled "Islamic Teachings" that was nothing but violent quotations taken from the Koran instructing followers to kill nonbelievers and speed their way to Hell where Allah will torture them forever.

It would seem quoting the holy book in a sort of testament against itself was over the line for someone working at Google-owned YouTube. Not only was the video deleted without any type of warning to the uploader, but the uploader’s account was also deleted with only the explanation (or accusation) of submitting inappropriate content, a category usually reserved for nudity or video violence.

Gisburne can be seen talking about the experience here, in a very monotone way. But the video in question can still be found on YouTube, for as word spreads about the rather obvious free speech infringement, users by the dozens have become defiant, posting it on Gisburne’s behalf.

Over at Xooglers, a blog written by ex-Google employees, Ron Garret says this doesn’t reflect well on Google:

This really bothers me for four reasons. First, to deem quotations from a holy text to be "inappropriate content" is outrageous on its face. Second, Gisburne was given no warning. Third, YouTube didn’t just delete the video in question, they deleted Gisburne’s entire account. And fourth, this makes a mockery of Google’s "don’t be evil" slogan. There can be no possible reason for this action other than caving to intimidation, and sanctimonious cowardice in the face of oppression is a particularly pernicious breed of evil.

He advises other angry free speech advocates to contact YouTube to express themselves directly.

Myself and several others are experiencing censorship at youtube on a weekly basis with the same result – suspended accounts with no notification.

What is happening is that muslims are flooding youtube with complaints about our benign videos that mock islam. Youtube, either because they are muslim sympathizers or annoyed with dealing with muslims complaints, suspend out accounts.

On the other hand, youtube allows hundreds of videos that are pro-jihadi depicting beheadings, suicide bombers and torture and doesn’t suspend those accounts.

This leads me to believe that youtube in inherently evil and in bed with muslim extremists.

My video "Truth About Islam From an ex-muslim Lady" featuring Wafa Sultan exposing islam got deleted by YT and my entire account (firangi4u) suspended. YT has censored free speech. They are now shari’a compliant.

I have a video up at YT that is from the Operation Flashpoint combat simulator game. It depicts a group of Finnish commandos storming a terrorist scud missile compound across the Russian-Finland border, not in the Middle East. The speech is in Finnish and is not overly violent, but what you might expect from a shooter game.

This video has not been removed, but plays slow, for only three seconds and stops, then plays slow and stops. Apparently, this is also how they censor videos, not just removing them, but putting some sort of block on them. This is outrageous, considering that there are dozens of game shooter videos up on YouTube. "The Scud Factory Raid" video has a story line and characters, and has nothing to do with the Middle East .

I have others videos from the Operation Flashpoint game and these play fine…accept this one.(?) I am considering re-uploading this video…

So much hypocrisy here… the same "teachings" are found in an identical way in the Holy Bible, they’re even expressed in a more bloody way in the sense many verses of the Bible incite to commit genocidal acts of infanticide, encouraging the believers to mass murder little babies and to rape virgin infants all born to "infidel" parents for instance. Not to mention the Biblical verses telling about how raped women are to be stoned by the whole town.

No wonder why youtube has professionlism and decides to ban such so-called "atheistic" trolls (who stragely bash only Islam but never its original source, Christianism), who claim freedom of speech using constant intellectual dishonesty to spread more lies and their hateful and intolerant hypocritical speech on the internet, a media read by so many ignorant people who are too stupid to have their own opinion and only follow what they’re told.

I suggest to everyone to read both the Bible and the Quran, compare and have your opinion about violence and intolerance.

Islam is the true religion, why should be allowed to tell wrong teachings about Islam (not in its right context)? Would you like to be insulted, and your family and your country and all you like? Youtube did a good work, banning Gisburne.

I think alot people from europe din’t like Islam, free speech for hate Islam or Moslem isn’t free speech, that is insult to Islam, and if Muslim people doing cause of that is free speech also.
