While it’s true that the impact of Google’s mythical PageRank score can be debated ad nauseam, one thing remains clear, whether or not a high PageRank is beneficial, many still harbor concerns over low scores and wonder how to improve them.

Such is the case with a thread going on at WebProWorld where poster maxseo was wondering why his recently launched site, with 105 in-bound links, still had a PageRank of zero. Max believes his site has been placed in Google sandbox, an area where new sites go while Google accepts them into their index, and that it may be affecting his chances at a decent PR score.

Judging from some of the different resources I’ve come across, yes, it is possible for PR to increase while you are subject to the Google sandbox, especially if you are in during an update. However, if you would like to shed some more light on max’s dilemma, please drop by and give him some advice.
