Bartz and Ballmer Talk Yahoo Microsoft Deal

Companies Set Up Joint Site for the Partnership

You have no doubt read or at least heard about the deal between Microsoft and Yahoo that aims to "change the search landscape." You may or may not know that the two companies have set up a joint site for the deal at ChoiceValueInnovation.com.

Choice. Value. Innovation.

The site includes sections for the press room, investor relations, and for contact. Users can sign up for email alerts or submit questions to the companies. There is also a page for privacy policies and terms.

Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer both have videos up in which they discuss the long awaited deal. Watch them below.

If you haven't had your fix of content relating to this deal, be sure to check out the official announcement, as well as Bartz's blog post, and Danny Sullivan's liveblogging of the conference call.

Really?

Really? What business does Y! have other than Search which is profitable? It has done nothing but decided to stop the hard work and get money in interest on their technology which they developed till now. I did not ever expect that such a loosing deal is possible, its even a shame to call it a deal, its a loot for MS.

Good in the long term

Google has such an overpowering influence over the internet that this deal between Yahoo! and Bing may be what’s needed to push the envelope to the next level of the web. As strange as it may sound, this deal may actually lead to more diversity in user behavior and the next great search engine.
