A UK man has been ordered to stop uploading videos to the Internet after a large collection of his crimes were seen on YouTube by local police.
Andrew Kellett, 23, was served with an interim anti-social behavior order (ASBO) at Leeds Magistrate's Court that prohibits him from uploading any images or depictions of unlawful activity on the Internet.
Kellett's 80 video collection mainly involves reckless driving along with some drug use, theft, trespassing and other criminal acts.
"Kellett must be in the running to be Leeds' dumbest criminal. He has handed us the evidence against him on a plate," said Leeds counselor Les Carter. "In the last three years, we have seen a 32 percent reduction in crime in Leeds. If more criminals were as obliging, the city would be even safer," he added.
The ASBO will last until July 15 when Kellett will receive a full hearing. If Kellett does not comply with the order he risks facing jail time.
Kellett attempted to challenge the ASBO, saying he was just a bystander filming the crimes. He also said limiting his Internet usage could be a violation of his right to free speech.
Kellett's YouTube profile is still available and most of the videos are still accessible.
