Google Sends Partners to Search Appliance Customers

Two Days of On-Site Assistance

Google is giving new Enterprise Search Appliance customers an "ROI JumpStart". What this means is they're sending people to help you deploy it for two days. These people come from "select Google enterprise partners."

New customers who license a GSA covering one million documents or more by September 30 are eligible.

"With this ROI JumpStart, new GSA users will accelerate their onboarding experience, from purchasing to deploying to getting relevant results to end users," the Google Search Appliance Team says. "Our partners will work with your team on site for two days, at no cost to you, sharing proven expertise and the GSA's out-of-the-box results and getting your new GSA indexing repositories across your organization."

The partner will show your search admins how to work with the GSA to add more repositories for users to search, the company says.

If this is something you think you might be interested in, there is plenty of documentation to read up on before you contact Google to look into it. They provide a case study as well as a couple of white papers on "Adding to your ROI" and "Maximizing Website Return on Investment". There is also a data sheet for download here.
