Offering exclusive deals for Twitter users is definitely a good move. A famous and big company like DELL can definitely exploit Twitter for their benefit.
Dell is continuing to have success using Twitter to drive sales.
Last December the company announced it had surpassed $1 million in sales via its @DellOutlet on Twitter. Since 2007 Dell says its presence on Twitter has earned it more than $2 million in revenue.
The Dell company blog explains. "We've surpassed $2 million in revenue in terms of Dell Outlet sales, but we're also seeing that it's driving interest in new product as well."
"We're seeing people come from @DellOutlet on Twitter into the Dell.com/outlet site, and then ultimately decide to purchase a new system from elsewhere on Dell.com. If we factor those new system purchases that come from @DellOutlet, we're actually eclipsed $3 million in overall sales."

Since last December Dell has seen its followers on Twitter explode from 2,638 followers to more than 600,000 followers. Dell says it Twitter-exclusive offers have helped it to create buzz and its followers have spread the word even more with re-tweets.
The company says its @DellOutlet is approaching the top 50 most followed Twitter users and it plans to keep offering a variety of Twitter exclusive deals, Dell Outlet promotions and Outlet-specific updates.
