Not every search query goes through Google, but the company’s doing a pretty good job of getting to that point.  New comScore data indicates that more than 75 percent of all UK searches were performed with Google in June.

Google’s market share increased by 0.5 percent between May and June, according to comScore, landing it at 75.3 percent in the end.  This came at the expense of second-place eBay and third-place Yahoo, which lost 0.2 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively.  They now sit with shares of 5.5 percent and 4.3 percent.

No other company lost or gained too much with the exception of AOL.  A comScore release states, “AOL LLC’s acquisition of U.K. social networking property, Bebo.com, expanded its share of search queries to 2.3 percent, edging Facebook.com (2.2 percent) into sixth place.”  So $850 million bought it that much, at least.

And here’s an interesting fact that people at every company can appreciate: “There were 3.9 billion total searches conducted in the U.K.”  Next month, it’s likely that 4.0 billion will roll around, then.

Google didn’t put out any press releases bragging about the 75 percent achievement, but we bet someone within the company is multiplying 0.75 by 4.0 billion right now.
