Android Gets Googled

Google bought a cell phone company called Android. Android was put together by Andrew Rubin. Andrew Rubin also founded Danger. Danger makes the Hiptop. Hiptop lets you search the web and chat via AOL instant messenger. Search brings us back to Google. Is there a pattern here?

Ok, we've established this cyclical relationship. Google already got its feat in the mobile business earlier this year with it's own Google mobile search and an SMS based search. And Google also announced today some new spit and polish for the old Froogle Mobile. Hmmmm "the game's afoot."

Now, combine this with the company Dodgeball getting Google earlier this year. Dodgeball had geolocations, SMS and social networking features. I think I see a pattern emerging.

There was speculation recently that Google was introduced in Meetro and while those rumors turned out to be false, many watchers feel Google still needs some type of instant messaging program. Could, out of all these recent acquisitions be developing their own instant messaging service? Who else could they pick up to give IM?

The final thought on this will be where the Google search engine goes in general. With the addition of Dodgeball, which has the geolocation features, what else are they going to work on locating? Could they finally be attempting to search through my closet? Stranger things have happened.
