Yahoo Creates DVD Player

Yahoo has taken the liberty of creating and designing a DVD player called the Yahoo MetroRetro.

This progressive scan video/DVD player includes a unique 4-in-1 memory card reader that allows you to view digital photos as well as play CDs, DVDs, MP3 music and DivX video.

Equipped with USB port and VU meters that monitor audio volume and video bit rate, the YAHOO! MetroRetro DVD Player also features an IR headphone transmitter for use with wireless headphones, along with widescreen (16:9) and normal (4.3) aspect ratios to enhance viewing enjoyment at all levels. Affordably priced at less than $130, the YAHOO! MetroRetro is an exclusive offering at firstSTREET and an innovative gotta-get for the complete home media center.

"We are pleased to offer this unique consumer product specially created and designed by YAHOO!," said Chris Fawcett, vice president and chief operating officer of firstSTREET. "The MetroRetro DVD Player represents the culmination of over a year's work in research and product development. Consumers will appreciate the unsurpassed video quality of this DVD/CD player, which truly does it all. This classic overachiever even includes a parental control option for every mom and dad's peace of mind."

BAD BYE

I bought the yahoo yht-440 dvd player. I payed 225 plus tax at a clearing walmart had.(all sales finall) It had no remote or owners manuall in the box. Ive tried severall universals including one over a hundred dollars and none work on the yht-440 Plus I havent bin able to download a manuall anywhere so in retro speck I would have to say it was a compleet waste and loss of money nor have I bin able to find a way of getting ahold of the manufacturers to order the missing parts. I am a verry unhappy consumer and dont think I will bye YAHOO products again. I have found them to be to much of a hassle.!!!
