ABC.com said it is adding new features to its broadband media player and will introduce them this fall.
The new features will include full-screen viewing, closed captioning and the option to send video links that can be embedded on blogs and social networks.
ABC.com was the first broadcaster to have a full-episode player online when it launched in 2006. In April it attracted 8.9 million unique users and was the leader for the month among broadcasters, according to Nielsen Online. The site also led in time spent per user.
The user interface has been revamped with new navigation and search features that allow users to find content graphically, alphabetically and by popularity. It also has a recommendation feature based on users viewing habits.
Albert Cheng, executive vice president of digital media for Disney-ABC Television, said," We've been squarely focused on creating a high quality consumer experience that combines ABC's most popular shows within a network-branded environment, effectively monetizing it through an interactive advertising model, and distributing it openly throughout the Internet from wherever consumers search for our content."

I tried to launch the new player on abc.com. At the left bottom of the screen I got an error but done message. I clicked on it and it said the error 'abcdm' not defined. It won't load at all. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
