Yahoo Expands Search Assist

Goes International

Yahoo is expanding its Search Assist, which it launched in October to number of countries besides the U.S.

Yahoo said it has received positive feedback for its Search Assist and starting today it is available in 16 markets and 8 languages.

Search Assist is now available in the following countries:
Argentina
Australia
Brazil
Canada
France
Germany
India
Italy
Mexico
New Zealand
Philippines
Singapore
Spain
UK
Vietnam

On the Yahoo Search Blog more details are provided. "The international versions of Search Assist are tailor-made to reflect local search behavior and tendencies. So when you search for 'spurs' at Yahoo! UK Search, Search Assist won't suggest the San Antonio NBA team like it does in the U.S. Instead, it'll offer suggestions like Tottenham Hotspur soccer team."
