Undersea Cable Cuts Could Be Sabotage

Let the theorizing begin

More fodder for the conspiracy theorists—well, it's hard to call them "theorists" when officials are making similar proposals.

The International Telecommunication Union says damage to the undersea cables that caused Internet and phone access outages all over the Middle East could have been the result of sabotage.

Undersea Cable Cuts Could Be Sabotage

One cable cut—the one off the coast of UAE and Oman—was been the result of an anchor, officials said in this report. But that seems a doubtful cause for the other four, considering the depth at which they lay on the ocean floor.

As a result, they've not ruled out the possibility of sabotage.

Just more evidence that our original theory was right: Terrorist sharks with frickin' lasers attached to their heads.

you never know...

Was it really sabotage?  The odds of just one of these cables getting cut over a 12 month period are extremely high.  But 5 getting cut within a 3 day period?  Also peculiar is that Iraq and Israel were the only two countries that were near 100% unaffected.  Sounds similar to what the US Navy UDT's did before invading Europe in WWII.

As for the internet implications, it's a scary thing that information can be so easily cut off to the world, making it dfiicult to impossible to get information other than the mainstream media feed during a time of national crisis.

I wonder how much online business revenue was lost during those weeks of internet outage.

Cheers,

Justin Michael
