Revolution Health Shows Fondness For HealthTalk

The concept of “big” isn’t often associated with the idea of “healthy,” but in this case, the two seem to be a good match; Revolution Health has just grown in size by acquiring HealthTalk.

Revolution Health was already getting hefty when David Utter wrote about it in June.  Now the corporation claims to receive over 12 million unique visitors and 200 million page views per month, and considers itself the second largest online health property.

Revolution Health Revolution Health isn’t all about growth, though, according to the president of HealthTalk.  “We are philosophically aligned in our mission to provide the best and most useful health information to consumers and to provide valuable new opportunities to our advertisers,” stated Mike Cunnion after the acquisition.

To address the first part of that comment: together, the two companies should be able to tackle issues relating to both health and fitness and more serious illnesses.  To address the second: HealthTalk will be responsible for most of the expertise in serious illnesses, and it may make Revolution Health’s existing partnerships with drug companies much more profitable.

Meanwhile, a new study has suggested that being big isn’t so bad for humans, either.
