Fox News Tweaks Facebook Profile

Adds new video player

Fox News Channel said today that it will add a number of enhancements to the network's Facebook profile on Tuesday.

Fox News on Facebook

The new features include an improved video player with an expanded clip library and added outlets for user feedback.

"Facebook's continued growth and demographic profile makes them an increasingly important alternative outlet for viewers and fans to digest news and customize FNC content in a casual and fun environment," said Joel Cheatwood, the network's Senior Vice President of Development.

"The enhancements and added features to our existing page will provide current FNC 'friends' with a better experience and attract additional Facebook members to make our page an active part of their profile."

The new video player will allow users to select clips from different categories, post them to their profile or share them with their Facebook friends. Fox News says it will also post behind the scenes video clips exclusively on the site

Fox News says it hopes Facebook users will interact with others through discussion boards, reviews, polls and photo submissions.

Fox says it chose Facebook over its parent company News Corp owned MySpace because the site is the top social network and that Facebook users are a little older and more sophisticated.

Stimulus Package -- ACORN Funding

I want to know if that $5 billion for ACORN has been scrubbed from the Stimulus pakage, if not, our Senators and Representatives need to get hat out of the package and now!

We don't need to support Obama's quid pro quo dealings with that crooked outfit!
