Yellowbook.com Launches Video Ads

Post to Twitter Post to Facebook

Yellow book USA, a national yellow pages and online local search company, has launched a live advertiser video trial on yellowbook.com.

The trial is a test of selected Yellow Book advertisers from around the country. The advertisers represent small and medium-sized businesses that advertise on yellowbook.com.

The video ads are professionally produced spots that give advertisers the chance to promote their business in their own words and with visuals. The videos were filmed at the advertiser's place of business and added to yellowbook.com to compliment the advertiser's display ads.

"Video is a very compelling medium," said Pat Marshall, chief new media officer at Yellow Book. "An ad with sight, sound and motion is the next level in Internet local advertiser content. Consumers are remarkably drawn to it."

According to eMarketer, August 2007, "Video's high engagement factor, combined with the Internet's tracking and targeting capabilities, potentially offers (advertisers) a highly accountable method to sway the hearts and minds of their target audience."

"Video ads will no doubt strengthen our advertisers' online campaigns by capturing the attention of users with an addictive medium," added Marshall.
