  • Vicki Gunvalson admitted she lied about Brooks Ayers’ cancer on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion. The admission may not be what you think, however.

It wasn’t over whether or not Ayers has cancer that Vicki Gunvalson came clean, but rather that she lied about his purported illness in order to get some attention for herself.

The scenario in question involved a fabricated story about calling Ayers’ doctor, telling him to treat Brooks with an IV during a sick spell.

“I fabricated it because I really was looking for compassion,” she said.

Ayers’ supposed illness and his treatment of Vicki Gunvalson has been a huge point of contention among her friends and family members. Daughter Briana Culberson did nothing to hide her disdain for the man throughout his entire relationship with her mother.

Sadly, after making this one admission, Vicki Gunvalson fast learned it opened the door for even more questions.

    “Why?” Tamra Judge asked.

Despite this one admission, Vicki Gunvalson admits she still thinks Brooks is sick.

“I still believe he has cancer,” she says.

Can this woman not see the writing on that proverbial wall? She’s been played–and hard, too. Brooks Ayers has mistreated Vicki Gunvalson and taken advantage of her ability to look the other way. Then when she needed him most, he dumped her.

What’s your take on Sunday night’s RHOC episode? Do you think Vicki Gunvalson is any closer to admitting she thinks Brooks Ayers is lying about his cancer?
