The new Satisfries debuted today at select Burger King Restaurants. The restaurant chain claims that these fries are made in a way that prevents them from soaking in too much oil, making them lower in fat and calories.

Burger King menus already contain healthy food options such as apple slices and salads, but the inventors of the new fries thought that customers may still want to satisfy their carb craving without sacrificing their diets.

An order of the new Satisfries will contain 340 calories and 14 grams of fat. Regular fries contain 410 calories and 18 grams of fat. These healthy fries will not replace regular fries and if you want to try them yourself, you will have to request them when you place your order.
Most customers will welcome the new fries and be happy to try them. Some however feel that if they want to eat healthy while eating fast food, they will just skip the fries all together and choose a salad instead.

Many restaurants have started to add healthier options to their menus. Whether other restaurant chains will follow suit and develop healthy fries is yet to be determined. Although the fries are lower in fat and calories than regular fries, calling them healthy just doesn’t seem right.
