John Legend, known for his recent hit 'Glory' from the film Selma, is going to produce an upcoming romantic drama that will star Grammy Award-winning singer Miguel.
According to a report from Variety, John Legend's film company, Get Lifted Film Co., will partner with Furst Films to create the drama.
Production on the as-yet-unnamed film will begin in Philadelphia in September. Mike Jackson, along with Sean and Bryan Furst will co-produce alongside John Legend.
Miguel, who won a Grammy Award in 2013 for Best R&B song for his hit 'Adorn,' will portray a former one-hit wonder singer who regains his passion for music when he's hired as a coach for a singing competition show, and finds inspiration in one of the show's contestants.

Does this story line in any way remind you of The Voice? Of course no one on The Voice is a one-hit wonder. Even American Idol has better judges than that. The plot description does make one briefly think of shows like these, however.
John Legend soared to the top of the music charts with his 2013 hit song, 'All of Me.' He is married to the very sexy Chrissy Teigen, who appears in the song's music video.
Do you think John Legend and his co-producers are on to something here with this romantic drama?
And what's your thought on Miguel as the film's star?
