It has long been established that any dinner with the Real Housewives of New York won’t be a dinner without some drama.

And the ladies didn’t disappoint during a dinner held for Dorinda Medley’s 50^th birthday in the Berkeshires when Bethenny Frankel and Heather Thomson got into each other’s faces again and left each other teary eyed.

The evening started out well enough, with Dorinda showing the other Housewives her home in the Berkshires and telling them about how her grandfather built the foundation of the house and how her father also worked there too.

She also shared that she would always tell her father she would own the house someday.

Needless to say, the ladies were touched and impressed by her story.

Dinner also started out well too and for a moment there, Dorinda thought that no drama would ensue. She was even happily surprised when Frankel arrived to surprise her.

The Skinny Girl head honcho initially declined to attend the party but changed her mind and drove up.

“I was so excited when Bethenny walked through the door, it was like a birthday present,” Dorinda gushed.

But I bet she quickly changed her mind when Heather and Bethenny started sniping at each other, and all because the former tried to take matters into her own hands and ensure that the latter had something to eat.

It quickly became obvious that Bethenny just wanted to be left alone (which is pretty hard to do when you’re at a dinner party).

“I don’t want attention, I just want to breathe,” she said. “I don’t want to get into anything. I just want the wall up.”

On the bright side, at least the drama took some of the attention away from Dorinda’s boyfriend John Mahdessian.

Maybe her birthday wish – that “no one says anything negative about John” – came true.
