Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep have history!

Back in 2006, the 31-year-old actress co-starred alongside the Hollywood veteran in the comedy-drama film, The Devil Wears Prada.

If you’ve ever seen the popular film, you’re well aware of fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly’s larger-than-life, “ice-queen” persona.

The 65-year-old actress played the role so well, many have wondered if she’s the same way in real life.

However, Anne recently revealed she’s the total opposite. However, she also explained how “Meryl” disappeared for months while they were filming!

Last week Anne stopped by The Graham Norton Show where she discussed a number of interesting topics.

During the discussion, she gushed about the Academy Award-winning actress, recalling the first time they met.

“When I met her she gave me a huge hug,” Anne recalled. “And I’m like, ‘Oh my god, we are going to have the best time on this movie.’ And then she’s like, ‘Ah sweetie, that’s the last time I’m nice to you.'”

“She then went into her trailer and came out the ice queen and that was really the last I saw of ‘Meryl’ for months, until we promoted the film,” she added.

Although Meryl transformed into the “ice queen” while filming the movie, Anne revealed she’s “the most amazing, warm person.”

Meryl and Miranda Priestly may not have much in common realistically, but Anne recently revealed she and her clumsy Prada character Andrea Sachs are kindred spirits when it comes to embarrassing moments!

“The thing about me and embarrassment, you have to remember, is that it all happens on a scale,” she explained. “So on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 is just like being a person walking down the street, and 10 is, for me, co-hosting the Oscars with James Franco which, by the way, is only tied with being honored to accept an Oscar while wearing a dress that I knew made it look like my nipples were erect,” she quipped.
