Justin.tv has a new Android app for broadcasting live video. This competes with services like UStream and Qik. Unfortunately, it doesn’t let you simply watch Justin.tv content like the iPhone app does. Perhaps that will come later. This is the first Android app Justin.tv has offered.

Google Updates iPhone App with Notifications

Google announced today that it has updated its Google Mobile iPhone app to push notifications from users’ Google accounts to their phones. Now, an icon badge will show when you’ve got new mail in Gmail or when a reminder for a Google Calendar event comes up.

The badge will appear right on the home screen.

"We’ve also added spiffy features to get you information faster — when looking for flight info, weather, stock quotes or currency conversion you’ll see answers before you even hit ‘Search’," says Google engineering manager David Singleton.

AT&T Expands myWireless Mobile App to More Android Devices

AT&T is expanding the availability of its myWireless Mobile app to a couple of new Android devices – the Samsung Captivate and the HTC Aria. The app lets wireless subscribers manage their accounts from their mobile devices.

The app give users access to bill payment, voice and data usage information, the ability to add or remove features and plans, and paperless billing.

A representative for the company tells WebProNews that while the particular instance doesn’t really represent a major security threat, "it does demonstrate how new mobile threats are emerging and evolving."

iPhone and iPad Apps About To Get More Integrated with Facebook

Facebook has launched a new software development kit (SDK) for Apple’s iOS operating system, which powers the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. This is an update from the previous SDK launched for the iPhone last March.

"With today’s update we’ll have SDKs for both iOS and Android devices that provide an even easier way for mobile app developers to go social," a Facebook representative tells WebProNews.

AT&T Launches iPhone App for U-Verse

AT&T has launched a U-Verse iPhone app, which gives U-verse subscribers the ability to download and watch TV shows on their phones.

The company says it is the first to provide an integrated mobile app that lets you manage your DVR and download/watch select shows. The app replaces the Mobile Remote Access for iPhone app.

Gowalla Launches OAuth-Based Check In API

Gowalla has announced the launch of its new Check in API. This is different than the Gowalla API, which was launched in February, which first let developers tap into Gowalla data for their apps.
