Yahoo announced that app install ads are now available through Gemini, the ad marketplace the company launched earlier this year.
Advertisers in the United States with managed accounts can use Gemini to promote apps across the Yahoo network with the new ads. They reach 550 million monthly mobile users on Yahoo, Yahoo mobile web sites, Tumblr, Yahoo apps like Yahoo News Digest, Yahoo Weather, Yahoo Sports and Yahoo Finance, and premium content sites through Yahoo Recommends.
“It can be hard to set your app apart from the millions of other apps available today,” Yahoo says in a blog post. “Yahoo Gemini combines the power of high quality content, audience targeting and native ads to help ensure your app stands out among the rest. Whether you’re a big retailer trying to get consumers to use your branded app, or you’re a developer looking to reach new users for your game, Yahoo Gemini app install ads are an easy-to-use solution for promoting apps. On one simple, user-friendly UI, advertisers can use Yahoo Gemini to easily set up, manage and monitor app install campaigns.”
“With app install ads available through Yahoo Gemini, in addition to the Flurry mobile app analytics suite, Yahoo now supplies brands and developers with many of the tools they need to help make their apps successful, including targeted user acquisition and best-in-class insights and measurement,” the company adds.
Yahoo counts SeatGeek among its first advertisers for the app install ads.
