  • The Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark has announced that they are constructing the world’s tallest water slide–the VERRUCKT MEG-A-BLASTER–and while they haven’t released the size of the slide, the photos do it more than enough justice. And by that I mean, you won’t be finding me on that thing.

The water slide actually looks like a roller coaster and is built to hold four people at a time on a raft; the park says anyone brave enough to shoot down it will do so at around 65 mph, and if all that “world’s tallest water slide” stuff isn’t hyperbole, keep this in mind: the current world’s tallest is in Brazil and stands at a whopping 134.5 feet tall.

Actually, this doesn’t look so bad.

    BUT OH MY GOD NO.

“To ensure the record-holding statistics of this new extreme attraction, we are not going to release final height and scope of the project until we are ready to welcome our first guests,” explained Jeff Henry, Schlitterbahn co-owner. “This new MEG-A-BLASTER speed-slide is going to wow our guests and is going to be a game changer for our industry. Our greatest challenge will be to find thrill seekers brave enough to ride.”

The VERRUCKT (“insane” in German” MEG-A-BLASTER slide will open in the spring of 2014.
