World record holder Sultan Kosen, the tallest man at an impressive 8’3″, has fallen in love and took his vows on Sunday with new bride Merve Dibo in Turkey.

Kosen, who suffers from acromegaly–a disorder which caused him to keep growing well after puberty was done with–is over two feet taller than his bride, but the difference in height means nothing to the new groom.

“I cannot describe my feelings in words,” the 31-year-old groom said on Sunday. “I am the happiest man in the world.”

Kosen had to have a tumor removed from his pituitary gland in 2010 here in the U.S. Doctors used a Gamma Knife to great effect, although he still has to use crutches to walk. He has been the Guinness Book of World Record’s Tallest Man since 2009.

“It was unfortunate that I could not find a suitable girl of my own size. But now I will have my own family and private life,” he said.
