Something called a Zayn has traveled off course, leaving his One Direction – or so the internet has told me.

This is a very poor development for fans of this One Direction, who have contemplated shuffling off this mortal coil after news of Zayn’s departure. People are very, very upset. According to Twitter, this Zayn will be #AlwaysInOurHearts, which is very sweet.

Apparently, when a member of your favorite band decides to up and quit, it makes you want to listen to said band’s music. A lot.

According to Spotify, One Direction streams are up 769% since the mourning period began. That’s pretty incredible.
