Vanessa Paradis took to the stage at this year’s Victoires de la Musique in Paris on Friday and wowed the audience with her new hairstyle, which is quite a change from what she’s had for the past several years.

Paradis, who recently split from longtime partner Johnny Depp, actually debuted the short, curly look last month when she stepped out for lunch with hairstylist John Nollet, who is believed to be responsible for the dramatic change. Rumors that the duo are a couple were squashed when it was revealed she’s in a relationship with French pop star Benjamin Biolay.

Paradis has been enjoying the single life again after her 14-year relationship with Depp ended in 2012; the couple vehemently denied rumors for months that they were separating until a public statement put them to rest.

“No matter what I say about this, people believe the opposite. I can’t say enough about it not being over,” Depp said in an interview.

Depp is now engaged to his “Rum Diary” costar Amber Heard, who was spotted in public with a giant ring on her finger the same week Paradis showed off her feisty new cut. The actress/singer showed no ill will towards her ex, however, and according to a source called to wish Depp happiness.
