Vanessa Hudgens and sister Stella Hudgens stepped up to the plate--or under the bucket--to participate in the popular ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, to raise both awareness and funds to battle this cruel disease. Vanessa was nominated by sister Stella who completed the task ahead of the High School Musical and Spring Breakers star.

"@weeknds you did this to me! I nominate @vanessahudgens @omidafshar @alexalosey @shawn_pyfrom #ALSawareness #IceBucketChallenge," Stella wrote on her Instagram account, calling out Vanessa and others.

Vanessa--who covers one of Flaunt's new Distress Back to School issues--wore short shorts and a black caftan-type crop top over what appeared to be a bikini top as well, while taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

In turn, Vanessa called out several people, including fellow Spring Breakers star Ashley Tisdale, to continue the goodwill act of raising funds for ALS.

It's sort of surprising that Vanessa Hudgens didn't call out Austin Butler for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. She said recently that the former Carrie Diaries star is the love of her life.

"Yesterday was the love of my life's birthday. Happy birthday to the man with the kindest heart, beautiful soul, crazy talent and best looks I've ever seen. He never stops inspiring me in every aspect of life and always lifts those around him up higher. I thank god so greatly for blessing the world 23 years ago by creating Austin Butler," she wrote on her Instagram account on Monday.

Congrats to Vanessa Hudgens for completing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Hopefully she--and anyone else who completes it--remembers to make a donation to ALS as well.
