Val Kilmer took to Facebook Saturday morning to deny rumors that he was hospitalized Monday night to undergo surgery for a throat tumor.
“Thank you for all your sweet support. But I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation,” Val Kilmer wrote on his Facebook page Saturday morning. “I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the ucla ICU.”
Rumors began circulating Friday that Kilmer had undergone emergency surgery for a bleeding throat tumor after Santa Monica Fire Department confirmed to People magazine that a man was transported from Kilmer’s home address to the hospital, but could not comment on the reason.

On the other hand, Val Kilmer seems to elude to some other health issue in his post.
“Friends have assisted who know my spiritual convictions and have been most sensitive and kind for the extra effort in making sure there’s minimum gossip and silly talk,” Kilmer continued. “I am praying for a speedy return to the boards as they say. God bless you all and please don’t worry. Love and deep affection, Val”
