Tori Spelling has been recovering from sinusitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia for more than a week after suffering from symptoms that led to her being quarantined briefly due to an Ebola scare, but on Friday the reality star was released. Now that she’s home, the latest episode of her show, True Tori, is making headlines due to a fight she had with husband Dean McDermott over a baked potato, and the fact that she met with her ex-husband out of concern that he resents her.
Spelling and McDermott have allowed cameras into their home to capture the road to recovery concerning their marriage after he allegedly cheated on her while filming Chopped Canada, but things still appear to be tense in the newest episode. While Spelling cooks dinner, McDermott steps in and remakes the baked potatoes, which Spelling says makes her feel like her cooking skills are being undermined. The incident made headlines as soon as the show aired, with some wondering how close the couple are to reconciliation.
McDermott released a statement once Tori was home, saying she’s still not back to perfect health but is recuperating.
“She’s on the mend. She’s not 100 percent. She was taken down by bronchitis, sinusitis and pneumonia, so she really got a one-two punch. It knocked her down pretty hard, so she’s, you know, trying her best,” he told E! News.
While he seems to be happy to have her home, Spelling posted a cryptic caption on an Instagram photo while she was in the hospital, saying, “This sick in hospital I finally see how quickly life can take it all away frm you. We all need 2 step up frm inside& go 4 it! W/our friends by our side. Sadly I’ve finally faced truth that 1 person will never be there 4 me #TrueTori”.
