Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has made more than her share of poor choices, but in a recent interview with People magazine she explains that’s she’s clean and sober, and has some sound plans for the future. It truly sounds like she’s made some big changes since her days of criminal activity and drug abuse.

“My life has changed so much since I stopped doing drugs–my whole attitude has changed,” the Teen Mom 2 star says. “I’m more active in my children’s lives, and I want to be at every milestone and special event they have. Being there for them is more important to me than going partying or doing drugs.”

Jenelle Evans admits her children–one-year-old Kaiser and five-year-old Jace–are her main reasons for staying sober.

“Having Kaiser has kept me so busy and motivated that I don’t have time to hang out with the wrong crowd,” she explains. “I only focus on my sons, school and my future.”

The Teen Mom 2 star broke off her engagement to Kaiser’s dad, Nathan Griffith, back in January, but the two have since reconciled. The two were known for their volatile fights–one that resulted in Evans filing a restraining order against Griffith.

The two recognized that that co-parented Kaiser very well during their split (son Jace is from Jenelle’s previous relationship, and he lives with her mom, who has long had custody of the boy) so they reunited. So far things are going very well.

Fans can tune in to the new season of Teen Mom 2 on Thursday night. It airs on MTV at 10 p.m. ET.

Do you think Jenelle Evans will stay sober throughout the new season of the show? Will her relationship with Nathan Griffith last the whole season?

Teen Mom 2 fans are likely counting the hours until Thursday’s season premiere, as even if Jenelle Evans behaves herself, someone else is bound to act up and cause some serious drama.

And that’s what Teen Mom 2 fans seem to adore.
