  • American fast-food restaurant Taco Bell has announced the seemingly impossible – give away free breakfast, specifically an A.M. Crunchwrap, to everyone in the United States.

“If someone steals a base in the World Series, we’re giving away free A.M. Crunchwraps to everyone in America,” the restaurant said in a Twitter post.

The mechanics are simple in order for the promo to take effect: Someone should be able to steal a base during the World Series between the New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals, which began on Tuesday night.

While stealing a base is not that easy, it may be a different story for both squads.

During the postseason, the Mets have already stolen nine bases, while the Royals have already reached seven.

These numbers just meant that there was a pretty high chance that there would be a stolen base during the series, considering that both teams’ averages have resulted in 0.8 stolen bases per game.

As a result, everyone in the United States may get a free Crunchwraps to start off their morning.

The report stated that if there is a stolen base in Games 1 or 2, baseball and non-baseball fans may get their free breakfast from their local Taco Bell on Nov. 5.

Meanwhile, the free breakfast will be offered on November 10 provided that either team was able to steal a base in Games 3 to 7.

Unfortunately, the first game on Tuesday night did not yield any stolen bases with the Royals taking Game 1; 5-4.

However, last night’s game turned out to be the longest Game 1 in World Series history, finishing after five hours and nine minutes.

Earlier this year, Taco Bell also offered to give away free tacos in Fresno City if the baseball team permanently changed its name from Triple A Fresno Grizzlies to Fresno Tacos.
