Noces Joseph LaFont Jr., otherwise known as “Trapper Joe” on the breakout reality hit “Swamp People”, has been arrested on domestic violence charges in Florida.
LaFont was allegedly arguing with his girlfriend at their hotel near DisneyWorld on Wednesday when he flew into a rage and punched her in the chest. He also purposely burned her with his cigarette. He was promptly arrested, charged with battery and assault, and was released after posting bail.
“Swamp People” became an unexpected hit after its stars charmed audiences with their Cajun ways while hunting alligators. One of the stars of the show, Mitchell Guist, died earlier this year while on his boat, putting the show and its subjects in the spotlight.
