American super model, Kendra Spears, is now a considered a princess after marrying Prince Rahim Aga Khan. Khan is the eldest son of His Highness Aga Khan IV, who is the Spiritual Leader or Imam of the global community of the Shia Ismaili Muslims.

The 25-year-old now has a new title: Princess Salwa. The two were married yesterday during a private ceremony held at the Château de Bellerive, which overlooks the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Spears looked as gorgeous as ever wearing a traditional ivory and gold dress that was lined with gold embroidery. Her long brunette hair was pulled back into a simple bun, highlighting her elegant jewelry.

Khan’s father announced the engagement of his 41-year-old son to Spears in April of this year. However he had not yet confirmed a wedding date. He said that he was “delighted to announce the engagement”. After the announcement, Spears took to Twitter to thank her family and friends for their congratulation tweets.

Spears has a Bachelor’s Degree in sociology from the University of Washington and is a successful model. She has modeled for many different respected fashion lines such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana.
