Punky Brewster has grown up, and welcomed her third child into the world on February 9th. Thirty-seven-year-old Soleil Moon Frye shared the news on her personal website. “Welcome to the world Lyric Sonny Roads Goldberg! Can’t wait to share our pics and moments in the upcoming months. Thanks for all the love and support,” she wrote.

Soleil Moon Frye was interviewed by Us Weekly last October where she spoke about the dynamics of her family, and explained the reason for not insisting on hiring a nanny. “I hope that since Poet’s 8 and Jagger’s 5 that they’ll be little mommies.” Frye said when questioned about her daughters, before continuing, “We don’t have a nanny and everyone in our family chips in. I never realized that as a mom I’d learn more from my kids then I could ever teach them. I thought I’d give them all this wisdom, and they’re my biggest teachers. They’re constantly inspiring me.”

Frye and husband, Jason Goldberg, named their son Lyric Sonny Roads Goldberg. The baby boy weighed 9 pounds and measured 21 inches. The inspiration behind the name “Lyric” has already gotten fans talking as Frye is well-known for carefully selecting names. Soleil delicately chose meaningful names for her two daughters, Poet, 8, and Jagger, 5.

The popular child actress had been preparing for the birth of her son, and recently took to Twitter to explain the transition her body was experiencing.
