Soleil Moon Frye is adding to her brood. The Punky Brewster actress announced on Today that she is expecting her third child.
Frye and her husband, film and television producer Jason Goldberg, already have two daughters, Poet and Jagger.
While on Today to promote some “mompreneur” business, Frye told Willie Geist and Natalie Morales (and viewers), “I have a very big announcement. We have a newest addition to the family here. Two girls and now a new baby to join the family.”
When prompted by Geist about what her two daughters thought of a new addition to the family, Frye said, “Poet and Jagger are so excited.”
As a frequent visitor to the show, Today was the best place Frye could think to share the news, saying, “Obviously I wanted to share it here first,”
The author of Happy Chaos: From Punky to Parenting and My Perfectly Imperfect Adventures in Between hinted at her big reveal multiple times on Twitter.

Later in her segment, Frye shared her excitement for finally being able to reveal the big news. “I’m so excited I can actually touch my belly now, I’ve been hiding it for so long.”
She also made the announcement on her official website with a photo of herself, hands on belly and the words, “baby time.”
It seems another child is what Frye has been wanting. When asked if she wanted another child, she told The Bump last October, “It’s on my mind like every day! I want a third. I just feel like if I have a third it will be another girl and I would be so into it. And then maybe the fourth would be a boy. Fingers crossed within the next year.”
2013 will be quite the busy year for Frye. Not only did she launch her photo-sharing app “Moonfrye” on Thursday, she will also release her book Let’s Get This Party Started on October 15, and will host Season 3 of Home Made Simple on the OWN Network this October.
