Sofia Vergara admitted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she popped Reese Witherspoon’s ovary while the two were filming Hot Pursuit. How did she manage to do that?

Vergara and Witherspoon filmed the movie in New Orleans. That’s where Reese Witherspoon wound up at the E.R.

“She went to the emergency room,” Vergara admitted to Ellen DeGeneres. “I sent her to the emergency room…It was something internal, something with bleeding.”

Witherspoon started laughing uncontrollably, as she listed to Sofia Vergara tell the story.

“I thought my appendix had burst,” she said.

“I was pushing [her] too hard and she was like, ‘No! Do it real!’ and I popped her ovary,” Sofia Vergara explained.

Fortunately Reese Witherspoon was just fine and she isn’t the least bit upset with Sofia Vergara.

Witherspoon joined Ellen DeGeneres in making fun of Sofia Vergara’s accent. Reese Witherspoon’s accent, however, was hilarious in the film.

“I had to speak Spanish in the movie…I studied Spanish in high school for two years and I thought I did a really good job because I worked really hard and then I got to do the scene and I was doing it in Spanish and she turned to me and started laughing,” she said.

“It was horrible. It was not very good,” Sofia Vergara said.

The Modern Family star is brave to pick on Reese Witherspoon–given the fact that she popped her ovary.

Not many people can say they’ve had their ovary popped–and certainly none but Reese Witherspoon can say it happened at the hands of Sofia Vergara.
