Shia LaBeuof has made a shocking confession.

During his silent art project #IAMSORRY in February 2014, in which he let people visit with him one-on-one in complete silence at the Cohen Gallery in Los Angeles, LaBouf claims he was raped.

“One woman who came with her boyfriend, who was outside the door when this happened, whipped my legs for ten minutes and then stripped my clothing and proceeded to rape me,” the actor told Dazed Digital during a recent interview.

The exhibit came not long after LaBeouf was seen at the Berlin premiere of Nymphomaniac wearing a brown paper bag that read: “I’m not famous anymore.”

During his silent project, the visitors were asked to pick a prop from a pile of unusual items that included a bullwhip, a pink ukelele, and a bowl of Hershey kisses. The visitors were then allowed to enter the room with LaBeouf, who wore a suit and a similar bag over his head, according to Us Weekly.

Aside from the alleged assault itself, Shia said it was even harder knowing that his girlfriend Mia Goth was there to see him.

“There were hundreds of people in line when she walked out with disheveled hair and smudged lipstick. It was no good, not just for me but her man as well. On top of that my girl was in line to see me, because it was Valentine’s Day and I was living in the gallery for the duration of the event — we were separated for five days, no communication. So it really hurt her as well, as I guess the news of it travelled through the line,” LaBeouf explained. “When she came in she asked for an explanation, and I couldn’t speak, so we both sat with this unexplained trauma silently. It was painful.”
