According to the New York Post’s Page Six , Sherri Shepherd has split with her husband, Lamar Sally. They were married for three years.
After only dating for a year, Sally and Shepherd married in August 2011 at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago. Shepherd’s marriage to Sally was her second one. In 2009, Shepherd divorced her first husband of eight years, Jeff Tarpley. Their marriage imploded when she discovered he cheated and got his mistress pregnant. The ordeal inspired her short-lived sitcom Sherri, which follows a recently divorcee trying to move on with her life.
The Daily Mail Online spoke to a close friend of the family, who revealed that infidelity may have played a part, once again, in Shepherd’s marriage demise.
In 2011, three months after Shepherd and Sally’s wedding, the National ENQUIRER claimed that Sally was once involved with Wendy Marrisa Peel, who was still close to the family. She was even one of Shepherd’s bridesmaids at her wedding to Sally.
The ENQUIRER reports that Sally and Peel met in college in 1990. They then dated for about a year, before mutually deciding to break up. However, the ENQUIRER’s source claims that they remained friends with benefits until Sally met Shepherd. Peel denied claims of any romantic involvement with Sally.
Before their split, Shepherd and Tarpley underwent in vitro fertilization to have their nine year old son, Jeffrey.
Despite several attempts by the Daily Mail Online and Page Six, a rep for Sally and Shepherd refused to comment on the status of their relationship. Shepherd made no mention of it on this week’s editions of The View. Daily Mail even addressed the fact that Shepherd wore her wedding ring on the May 8th episode of The View.
Loving life right now. It’s all good.

Now, TMZ officially obtained documents that showed that Sally filed for divorce on May 2nd.
