Charlie Sheen may have a bad reputation when it comes to the ladies and the illegal substances, but lately he’s garnering almost as much attention for his charitable side as he does for the bad boy stuff.
Sheen’s latest foray into good deeds is a check he wrote for $12,000 to help pay for the funeral costs of the photographer who was struck by a car and killed recently while trying to get a shot of Justin Bieber’s car.
“A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject. It’s an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future. As parents, we are all not supposed to bury our children. My deepest condolences to the families involved,” he said.
Sheen has been generous with his dough lately, shelling out $100,000 to Lindsay Lohan to help her pay off a tax debt when they were working together on the latest “Scary Movie” installment and later giving $75,000 to a police officer he’d just met to help cover the medical bills his cancer-stricken daughter was racking up.
So far, the only one who hasn’t expressed gratitude is Lohan.
“I’m still waiting for a text to say ‘thank you,’” he said of the young actress. “Anything, you know?”
