Shania Twain has announced that she is working on a new album!
It has been 12 years since Shania released an album, however that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been working on her music.
Last year, she revealed that she was working on some new songs, but was in the process of finding a producer.
The country music superstar has been spending the past two years in Las Vegas completing her Caesars Palace residency. She says that the residency has given her the confidence and motivation to get back into the music world full force, and that means launching a tour when her residency ends.
“It has been a great two years. It went by so fast! It’s coming to an end now, but I’ve had a wonderful experience,” Twain told the Las Vegas Sun. “I do feel like I’ve made the most of it while I was here. I’m taking a ton of memories with me and a lot of new friends.
While her residency is coming to an end, Twain admits that she is not ready to leave the stage yet.
First of all, the success here in Las Vegas has given me a confidence that I have not had in years, even in past tours. I really have been able to build up a lot more courage and a lot more confidence in myself. Yeah, I’m ready for more things now!
I am in the middle of putting the album together, and that’s very exciting. That’s a whole new world there for me because that took a lot of courage, too. Just to really dive in there and expose my songwriting for the first time after a long time to my peers and have to sit there and get the feedback and be brave enough to do that.
So that’s coming along, and, yes, I don’t want to leave the stage just yet. I’m going to put some tour dates together and put it on the road and do some concerts because it was very exciting going to Calgary and Prince Edward Island recently. Being with these giant crowds was very exciting, and it’s motivated me to carry on doing that.
Shania’s Shania: Still the One show will officially end on December 13.
